• You will become the head of Breelteparken's Central Kitchen, which prepares meals for the elderly in Hørsholm Municipality (currently about 450 portions per day), meeting and course refreshments as well as food for sale in the café. In addition you will share responsibility for Breelteparken's laundry and cleaning function.
• You will be the direct supervisor for 14 skilled and dedicated employees. We are also an educational site for nutrition assistant students and currently have 2 pupils in a new master apprenticeship.
• You will become part of a multidisciplinary organization with about 130 employees with a strong focus on the core task as well as citizens' experience of this and where we are committed to professional development, teamwork, cohesion, communication and collaboration.
• You report directly to the head and become part of the management team of four; a head, two department heads and a kitchen manager. The management team enjoys great mutual trust.

The position is expected to be filled on January 1, 2027.

The weekly working hours are 37 hours. The employment is not subject to a maximum length of service.

Employment and salary are negotiated in accordance with the applicable municipal management agreement based on your education and experience. The base salary is on the level of a diet- and nutrition-related leader under L10, where the annual salary amounts to 523,517 DKK per month, in addition to pension contributions and a flexible benefits allowance. There will also be opportunities for negotiating individual allowances.

We are seeking a kitchen manager who can motivate the staff, and who will help develop the management at Breelteparken, and who has strong relationship skills. As a leader you are open, inclusive and can contribute to the development and management of upcoming change processes in good dialogue with both employees and management.

• Has a diet- and nutrition-related education or equivalent with a combination of clinical nutrition knowledge (e.g., small eaters, dysphagia and medical diets) and competences in personnel management and financial management
• Can ensure the preparation of a varied, tasty, nutritious and visually appealing diet for the elderly in accordance with applicable legislation and recommendations
• Has experience with and interest in working with sustainable food production
• Can supervise, guide and teach with a practical approach and a desire to “teach others”
• Has documented experience with personnel management, duty planning, budget responsibility, purchasing and service agreements
• Has solid IT skills (we use Mastercater)
• Can collaborate broadly and across disciplines with, for example, care and health staff
• Has an informal, positive (and preferably humorous) approach to work, colleagues and partners

We are a self-governing institution with 51 nursing home places, 146 senior housing units with attached home care, hot water pool, Central Kitchen, Day Center and other facilities such as pedicure and hairdresser.
