About the job

So you might be our new consultant in Albertslund Municipality.

We are seeking a consultant who is good at creating overview, coordinating across and driving tasks forward safely. You will among other things coordinate cross-cutting activities and initiatives for our children and youth in Albertslund Municipality. This includes for example Kulturtrappen, which gives the municipality's schoolchildren access to art and culture experiences, and Albertslund's Democracy Day, where children and young people get the opportunity to engage in democracy and co-determination.

You also take on responsibility for administration of Aula and other digital solutions in the school sector, which support the schools’ daily life and the communication with students and families. In addition you contribute to administrative and development-oriented tasks in the staff.

Albertslund is a green municipality with big ambitions. We are proud of our municipality, and we take care in our tasks and initiatives for citizens, associations and businesses. We are one municipality and one organization. We have engaged and skilled employees as well as a collaborative culture that crosses areas and levels. This makes Albertslund Municipality a good place to work.

About the position

The staff in Daycare & School functions as a link between the municipality's leadership, daycare, schools, partners and the political level. We solve many different tasks that support both daily operations and development in the school and daycare area.

You will become part of a professional environment with four consultant colleagues who work across the area, and you report to the head of the staff.

The staff has five consultants who together lift a broad portfolio of tasks. You will have your own fixed areas of responsibility, but you also contribute to administrative and development-oriented tasks across the staff. It is therefore important that you can switch between different types of tasks, create an overview and prioritise when several things are in progress simultaneously.

Your tasks

You will among other things

  • Plan, coordinate and further develop Albertslund Democracy Day and support the municipality's Joint Student Council.
  • Coordinate and further develop Kulturtrappen in collaboration with schools, cultural institutions and other partners.
  • Be the municipality's system owner for Aula and support the schools in administration, use and development of Aula
  • Take on coordination and system ownership in the school IT area in collaboration with the municipality's IT & Digitalisation.
  • Coordinate and follow up on grant- and fund-financed initiatives, including budget monitoring, reporting and support of application processes.
  • Answer citizen inquiries and political questions in the school and daycare area.
  • Contribute to analyses, development tasks and case materials for management and the political committees.

Common to the tasks is that you must be able to take independent responsibility, create an overview and progress, and coordinate across different professional disciplines and partners.

About you

We are looking for a colleague who is good at creating structure, takes responsibility for their tasks and wants to work in a politically governed organization.

We particularly emphasise that you

  • Are good at planning and coordinating tasks where many different parties must collaborate.
  • Have knowledge of or an interest in the school sector
  • Work independently and in a structured way and follow your tasks through to the end.
  • Have an interest in digital solutions and are motivated to make them work well in practice for users.
  • Can get to grips with new problems and translate them into solutions that work in practice.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally, both orally and in writing.
  • Can maintain an overview and prioritise in a daily life with many different tasks and changing deadlines.
  • Are curious, collaborative and eager to contribute to the professional and social community.

We imagine that you have a relevant higher education degree. Experience from a municipality or another politically governed organization is an advantage, but not required.

You do not need to have experience with all the tasks in advance. The most important is that you are eager to learn, can take responsibility and manage to get different tasks and collaborations to work.

We offer

  • A varied everyday life with a high degree of independence.
  • Opportunity to influence the development of digital solutions in the school area.
  • A strong professional community with engaged colleagues.
  • Flexible working conditions and focus on well-being.
  • An introduction program and mentorship scheme.

Salary and terms of employment

The recruitment process consists of two interviews. The interviews will take place in weeks 50 and 51. In connection with the second interview, selected candidates will be asked to solve a case.

The workplace is Albertslund Town Hall, Nordmarks Allé 1, 2620 Albertslund.
