We are looking for a benefits advisor who can quickly and efficiently join our team of capable and responsible colleagues.

The job as a Benefits Advisor

In JOBVejle, the benefits and employment advisors work closely on tasks regarding sick-listed citizens in collaboration with employers, unemployment insurance funds (a-kasser) and other stakeholders. You will therefore have a large amount of internal and external contact, where you must be able to communicate the law and rules in a proper and simple way.

You will become part of a team of seven benefits advisors in the Sickness Benefits Provision, who handle everything related to the payment of sickness benefits to citizens and businesses. We are the ones who are at the front when citizens or businesses call with questions and doubts, and we are their guarantee that they receive a correct payout.

As part of the team, your primary tasks will be the payment of sickness benefits to citizens and businesses in the Municipal Sickness Benefit System, as well as answering telephone and in-person inquiries, including communicating the legislation. Most tasks are solved digitally, so you must be prepared for a digital daily life with predominantly screen work.

Additionally, you will handle case processing under the Sick Pay Act, make decisions within the framework of the law, and process applications for §56 agreements. Other tasks include repayment claims related to overpaid sickness benefits/refunds and reassessment of complaints.

We expect that you

Are trained as an office assistant, municipal economist (kommunom) or administration bachelor - you can also be trained as a social facilitator or social counselor. You have an interest in the benefit area and have experience with similar tasks or from a comparable position, where you have demonstrated good numerical understanding and knowledge of relevant legislation. If you are newly trained, we also welcome you if you are engaged, motivated for the area and want to develop professionally.

You can work in a structured and independent way as part of a team with systematic, administrative and varied tasks. You are a strong communicator – both orally and in writing, are engaged and make your colleagues look good.

You have a knack for working in IT systems and it is an advantage if you have knowledge of municipal IT systems, including the Municipal Sickness Benefit System, Fasit and Outlook.

As a person, you have a positive attitude to changes and a humorous approach to everyday challenges big and small. You advocate solving a common core task and see yourself as part of the whole solution.

Conditions of employment

This is a permanent full-time position with employment from 1 January 2026, or as soon as possible. Salary in accordance with New Pay and applicable collective agreement.
