About the job

Are you passionate about making a difference for young people and adults with autism or similar challenges?

Grib København 1 is looking for an engaged social worker who will apply their social professional expertise in advising and guiding young people and adults with autism. With us you will become part of a multidisciplinary environment, where you work closely with guidance counselors and teachers to create holistic interventions and make a tangible difference for the target group.

Are you motivated by counseling, guidance and development of interventions, and do you thrive in close cross-disciplinary collaboration? If so, you might be the one we are looking for.

You will become part of Grib København 1, located in the Autism House in Copenhagen. We are seeking an engaged and professionally strong social worker for a 37-hour week position.

Your primary tasks

As a social worker you will play an important role in supporting citizens with social work advice and guidance. Your tasks will include among others to

  • handle counseling and guidance within the relevant provisions of the Social Services Act
  • hold individual conversations with citizens
  • guide citizens in individual § 82 b pathways – especially in the start-up phase this task will occupy a substantial part of your working time
  • contribute with social-work perspectives in collaboration with guidance counselors, teachers and authorities
  • contribute to the development of social-work counseling and apply your knowledge of the Social Services Act and possibly the LAB Act, where relevant

The position is newly created, and you will have the opportunity to shape the task solution and develop the social-work function in collaboration with your colleagues.

Grib København 1 consists of six initiatives: two group programs, two types of individual programs, webinars and Your Advice. The team consists of 15 employees who combine high professionalism with warmth and creativity. We think outside the box, laugh loudly and go all the way for the citizen – and we look forward to having you on the team.

We offer

  • a specialized professional field with a focus on autism and new knowledge
  • a meaningful job with the opportunity to create real change
  • close cross-disciplinary collaboration with the other initiatives in the house
  • a broadly composed staff group with strong commitment and high professionalism
  • professional sparring, supervision and competency development
  • an informal work environment with flexibility and the opportunity to influence the development of the social-work efforts

We are looking for you, who

  • have a relevant social-work education, e.g. social worker or social communicator, and preferably experience from the authority field
  • are relationship-strong and confident in conversations with citizens, relatives and partners
  • have knowledge of the Social Services Act and preferably the LAB Act
  • can translate your social-work knowledge into counseling that makes sense for the individual citizen
  • are interested in and preferably have experience with the target group of young people and adults with autism or similar challenges
  • thrive with independent tasks, cross-disciplinary collaboration and a development-oriented daily life
  • are flexible and open to also handling other tasks within the § 82 offers at Grib København 1

You should expect approximately one day per week of work in the afternoon/early evening – but no later than 7:00 PM.

Do you want to be part of making a difference?

Become part of an innovative autism house with high professionalism, strong commitment and a focus on creating sustainable interventions.
