Job search strategy

What does it mean?

Job search strategy (jobsøgningsstrategi) is a structured plan for finding work: defining target roles and sectors, choosing channels (boards, network, direct approach), setting weekly application goals and scheduling follow-up.

Effective strategies combine breadth (volume of applications) with depth (tailored applications to dream employers). Track metrics: applications sent, responses, interviews and feedback patterns.

Adjust strategy based on results. Many rejections with no interviews may signal CV or targeting issues; interviews without offers may signal interview technique or fit.

Your a-kasse and job centre can help refine strategy. Use Arbejd.com tools for CV building, job alerts and interview simulation to support execution.
