About the job

Would you like to help secure Denmark's access to medicines and medical equipment – even in times of crisis?

At the Danish Medicines Agency we are seeking a committed academic/specialist consultant who will be involved in strengthening supply security and the national emergency preparedness for medicines and medical equipment.

You will be part of a professionally strong team with great societal significance and opportunities to shape a field in rapid development.

Your primary tasks

You will play a central role in analyzing national and international developments within the supply of medicines and medical equipment and contribute to strengthening the Danish emergency preparedness. Your primary tasks will include, among other things:

  • Implementation of new legislation concerning preparedness and robust measures for supply security
  • Prepare analyses at the intersection of supply and emergency preparedness with a view to an overview of the situation and a decision basis
  • Respond to orders from the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of the Interior (and church affairs) as well as other actors
  • Participate in cross-cutting project collaborations – both internally, nationally and internationally
  • Develop and implement new processes in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders

The tasks are diverse, and you should be willing to dive into new areas if there is a need for a new direction and rapid handling.

The area is under intense political attention, and we work closely with other agencies, regions, wholesalers, pharmacies, European partners and other important actors to ensure access to necessary medicines and medical equipment – also in crisis situations.

Your everyday life with us

You will become part of a cross-disciplinary team where we work independently, have close collaboration with each other and also work across the agency. We place emphasis on a good work culture characterized by high professionalism, and where we help each other so that we as a team reach our goals. You will have the opportunity for a high degree of responsibility, where you actively help shape both task solving and priorities.

You will become part of a team that focuses on professionalism and on having a pleasant and fun time together. This is also reflected throughout the agency, where there is strong participation in social activities in the house.

Your education, experience and personal qualifications

We would like you to have

  • Have a relevant higher education within the natural or health sciences, e.g., pharmacy or public health science
  • Have good knowledge of medicines and/or medical devices, including knowledge of sectors, e.g. with knowledge about supply routes, regulatory frameworks etc.
  • Have experience with data handling, analysis, project work and/or political support
  • Be curious, structured and good at collaborating with many different stakeholders
  • Have good written and verbal communication skills – and be able to translate complex information into clear messages
  • Have political and strategic understanding
  • Thrive in changing frameworks and with a high degree of independence

We offer

  • A meaningful job, where you contribute to supporting citizens' access to medicines and medical equipment
  • Opportunity for international work in an exciting and dynamic area with great national and international attention
  • Influence on society-critical decisions with considerable autonomy and the opportunity to shape direction and content
  • Informal culture and good development opportunities
  • A family-friendly workplace with flexible working hours and the possibility of remote work
  • An inclusive working environment with focus on psychological safety, where diversity is seen as a strength
  • Good physical facilities with a fantastic location by Copenhagen Harbour and city
