About the job

The Royal Ballet School is seeking an administrative employee

Are you passionate about administration and motivated by being part of a traditional yet development-oriented school with a strong artistic environment? At The Royal Ballet School ambition, professional excellence, and well-being go hand in hand, and we are now seeking an experienced administrative employee who, with an overview, structure, and service mindset, will help support the school's everyday life and development.

You will become a central part of the school's administration and have broad contact with students, parents, teachers, management, and external partners. Therefore, we are looking for a colleague who thrives with responsibility, works independently and professionally, and sees opportunities rather than limitations.

About the Ballet School

The Royal Ballet School is an artistic educational institution with about 100 students from 2nd to 9th grade as well as aspirant-level students. The school trains the dancers of tomorrow and builds on both strong traditions and a modern view on learning, development, and artistic formation.

The school’s daily life is characterized by close collaboration between artistic, pedagogical, and administrative staff. Across disciplines, we work to create the best conditions for the students’ development, and we place great emphasis on a strong collegial community where everyone contributes with their expertise and commitment.

Your primary tasks

The tasks are varied and will include, among other things

  • Servicing students, parents, staff, and external partners
  • Daily administration and coordination of the school's activities
  • Financial follow-up, including receipt and coding of invoices for the school and SFO
  • Administration in the Ballet School's systems and digital platforms
  • Practical support of the school's management and staff
  • Handling student administrative tasks
  • Contributing to the development and optimization of administrative workflows

About you

You are proactive, development-oriented, and motivated by creating structure and good solutions in a daily life with many different tasks. You work independently, take responsibility, and meet colleagues and partners with professionalism, flexibility, and a strong service orientation.

The school's administration participates in many collaboration arenas, and it is therefore important that you can navigate safely between different stakeholders, build good relations, and maintain an overview, even when speed is high.

We also place importance on sharing our view of diversity and seeing differences as a strength and a potential for learning and development.

We imagine that you have

  • A relevant administrative education
  • Experience from the school sector and other public administration
  • Preferably at least 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Good digital competencies and experience with administrative systems
  • Strong oral and written communication skills

As a person you are characterized by engagement, high quality in your work, and a structured approach to solving tasks. You have an eye for both detail and the whole, and you actively contribute to good collaboration.

About the department

You will become part of the Ballet School's administrative team, which today consists of four employees.

The Royal Theatre and the Ballet School are cultural institutions with many different professional groups, driven by both creativity, professional pride, and strong commitment. You will encounter an informal tone and an inspiring work environment where collaboration, sparring, and knowledge sharing are a natural part of daily life.

Salary and terms of employment

Salary and other terms of employment are according to a relevant state collective agreement or individual agreement. The position is covered by new pay.

When employed, a §36 certificate and a criminal record extract will be obtained.

The position is full-time.
