Brøndvej Children's House is seeking a divisional leader who would like to contribute to the continued pedagogical development in close collaboration with the nursery's pedagogical leader.

Perhaps you already have experience as a divisional leader? Or perhaps you are a pedagog with an interest in leadership and you know that in your pedagogical work you have always been quick to take on a leading role? Maybe you are the one your colleagues naturally turn to and the management's extended arm when, for example, there is a need to review next week’s schedule?

About the position

Brøndvej Children's House is centrally located in Hedehusene, a few minutes’ walk from Hedehusene station. Hedehusene is currently experiencing strong population growth, and there is a lot of activity in urban development and urban renewal in the coming years.

Brøndvej Children's House houses both a nursery department and a preschool department, each on its own plot. Therefore we continuously focus on the throughline between the departments. Brøndvej is normed for 44 nursery children and 54 preschool children. We are 22 staff members in the house, in addition to pedagogy students and PAU students, as Brøndvej is an educational institution.

As divisional leader at Brøndvej you report to the pedagogical leader Martina, who will also be your closest sparring partner. It is the pedagogical leader who has the overall responsibility at Brøndvej and staff management lies solely with the pedagogical leader. As divisional leader you will instead play a central role in supporting the staff close to practice, strengthening professionalism and contributing to a good working environment.

You will also have a significant role in supporting the administrative operations in collaboration with the pedagogical leader. Therefore it is important that you enjoy administrative tasks, and that it comes easy for you to create structure and systematics.

In practice, you will be close to children and staff and function as a sparring partner for the employees. At the same time you will help translate strategic decisions, professional goals and pedagogical ambitions into practice in collaboration with the pedagogical leader.

Your tasks will include, among others

• Supporting and qualifying the framework that underpins the pedagogical practice in close collaboration with the pedagogical leader.
• Administrative tasks that require use of the municipality's internal systems, including KMD Institution and Subit, scheduling, etc.
• Facilitating group meetings, parent-teacher meetings, cross-disciplinary meetings, and processes at staff meetings.
• Supporting onboarding of new staff.
• Participating in cross-disciplinary collaboration with external partners on pedagogical practice and development.
• Leading by example and being persistent in continuing the development of the pedagogical practice.

• You will, together with the pedagogical leader, hold weekly meetings.
• The position is a full-time role of 37 hours per week. Half of the time you will be engaged in leadership tasks and the remaining hours you will work as a pedagogue with fixed hours on a room.
• There will be flexibility in scheduling the hours allocated to leadership tasks.
• As divisional leader you will have the opportunity to gain experience in leadership and develop in the role.

Who is the pedagogical leader?

Martina has been the pedagogical leader at Brøndvej since January 2026, but she has several years of experience in leading daycare services.

Martina describes herself as a development-oriented leader with a long-term perspective, and as someone who knows that development and change require both time, clear direction and a high degree of courage. Martina describes herself as a leader who works closely with practice, has a calm temperament and creates space for people’s different personalities and competencies. Martina believes that a high degree of shared influence and freedom in task solving provides both job satisfaction for the individual and strengthens the workplace community as a whole.

Martina is seeking a divisional leader who complements her strengths. Therefore you may be strong in administrative systems, scheduling, ad hoc tasks in daily life, be good at creating an overview in the daily operations, be clear in your way of communicating and, of course… stand strong in your pedagogical expression.

You are primarily driven by your pedagogical professionalism. You naturally take responsibility for development, quality and collaboration. You are motivated to support staff and contribute to a common professional direction.

We expect that you

• Are educated as a pedagogue and have experience from daycare.
• Have experience with or an interest in professional leadership, guidance or coordination.
• Are aware of ensuring follow-through through dialogue, relationships and clear communication.
• Are structured and can translate and prioritise in the many ideas that arise in daily life.
• Enjoy thinking creatively and outside the box.
• Want both the serious and the playful even in leadership.

Salary and employment

The position is full-time (37 hours).

Employment from January 1, 2027.

The first round of interviews will be held on Tuesday, November 17, and possibly the second interview on Monday, November 23, 2026. If you proceed to a second interview, you will be asked to complete a questionnaire for a personality test and receive feedback on the results beforehand.

Salary and terms of employment according to the applicable collective agreement for pedagogues and Ny Løn. There will be an opportunity to negotiate salary based on experience and competencies, but the contractual starting salary is 38,776 DKK per month plus pension.
