About the job

Use AI to develop tomorrow's digital solutions

AI is changing not only the solutions we build - but also the way we develop them. At the Danish Transport Authority you will have the opportunity to actively use AI throughout the development process and work with modern development approaches such as AI-assisted and agentic development when building digital solutions, integrations and automations.

Be part of building our AI Lab

You will become part of IT and Digitalisation, where we are in the process of establishing a new AI Lab. You will therefore enter an area under construction and have the opportunity to influence both our solutions and the way we will work. At the same time we work closely with the Authority's business units to translate needs and new technological possibilities into practical solutions, and we have existing solutions that need to be modernised and migrated to new technology.

What your everyday life will look like with us

You work closely with the business units to understand their workflows and translate needs into digital solutions. You follow the solutions from idea and development to testing, deployment and further development and actively use AI throughout the development process. Your main tasks will be to:

  • develop and maintain smaller digital solutions, integrations and automations.
  • modernise and migrate existing solutions to new technologies.
  • apply AI-assisted and agentic development for, among other things, coding, analysis, debugging, testing and documentation.
  • translate needs and prototypes into robust solutions.
  • ensure quality, security and a smooth path from development to operation.
  • collaborate with the business units about needs and solutions.

What you should be able to do?

You have a solid foundation in software development and can take responsibility for your solutions and work independently in an area under construction. It is a requirement that you have a relevant technical master's degree in, for example, software development, computer science, computer science or similar. We place value on the following:

  • can develop web- and API-based solutions and work with integrations and databases.
  • have practical experience with AI-assisted development and tools such as Claude and GitHub Copilot or equivalent.
  • have experience with agentic development, where AI agents are actively used in the development process.
  • understand version control, build, deployment, test, quality and security.
  • can critically assess AI-generated code and output and take responsibility for the overall solution.

We do not require a specific technology stack. We work with .NET and Java among others and focus on REST- and web-based solutions. You naturally take the initiative to engage in dialogue across the organisation. You reach out to colleagues, share ideas and experiences, and look for opportunities to bring people together when they can benefit from each other’s knowledge. You enjoy communicating new possibilities and solutions – both in direct dialogue and in writing – and thrive on combining development work with close dialogue and collaboration with colleagues across the organisation.

What you get with us

When we say we are a flexible workplace where it is important that our employees experience a balance between work time and leisure – we mean it. Our core hours are 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. (10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Mondays). This is when we expect you to be available and working. If you work more than 37 hours, you accrue flex time. You can use it either as full or half flex days or, for example, as shorter workdays for a period.

In general, you have good freedom to plan and manage your workday, and you can work from home for 2 days a week if your tasks allow it. We are an organisation that accommodates employees in different life phases. Therefore we offer tailored working hours, leave, flex jobs, add-on hours and reduced time if that is what you need.

Salary and terms of employment

The position is a permanent 37-hour job. Salary and terms of employment are in accordance with the state collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Trade Unions or other relevant agreement. Employment and remuneration are offered as an employee with a duty of availability or as a senior consultant under the AC agreement. The final salary will be set based on your experience and qualifications. In addition to the base salary, pension is provided under the agreement and any local allowances.

It is a condition of employment that you can security-clear to the classification level SECRET and maintain the clearance for the duration of your employment
