Nurse for P50 – Psychiatric Department Odense

We are seeking a new nursing colleague who is passionate about the psychiatric treatment of people with eating disorders.

There will be a great opportunity to also work with the development of the eating disorders team and to influence the team during the transition to the new OUH, where we will enter into an even closer collaboration with the Nutrition Unit.

In addition to the highly specialized function in eating disorders, we receive patients for our general open and closed beds, where you will also have your daily rounds.

In psychiatry we prioritize collaboration, safety and care. Emphasis is placed on professional development as well as personal development in good interaction with friendly colleagues.

At P50 you will have the opportunity to strengthen competencies in core skills such as team collaboration, communication and clinical leadership.

Work is primarily with psychiatric nursing, but with good opportunities to work with somatic nursing.

We prefer that you have experience from psychiatry, but it is not essential. The most important is that you have a personality that matches the department. We value collaboration, communication and team spirit.

The position is 37 hours in mixed shifts with influence over your own work schedule. If you want to work fewer than 37 hours, that may also be possible.

As a rule, you work every other weekend, but with good opportunities to end up working every third weekend.

Who are we?

P50 is an acute 24-hour department that provides care and treatment for citizens with mental illness across all diagnoses.

We are an integrated psychiatric inpatient ward with capacity for 24 patients.

We have 11 open beds, 4 closed beds, 6 beds for patients with eating disorders and 3 beds for patients in patient-controlled beds.

This means that we have both short intensive pathways with diagnostic assessment in focus and longer courses where it is possible to work in a holistic and recovery-oriented manner.

In the eating disorders team work is organized according to a fixed structure. Our patients have a longer course, where, among other things, work is done on relationship-building, motivation, meal structure and other individual support. We collaborate with relevant partners under the Center for Eating Disorders, including our closest colleagues in Local Psychiatry.

We address mental, physical and social issues in our patients, all to support the patient's daily well-being and address their treatment needs, and also to provide our staff with job satisfaction.

You will have around 40 colleagues. We work cross-disciplinary, and have a flat structure where everyone has the opportunity to have their opinions heard.

Salary and employment terms

In addition to the starting salary, the pay may include negotiated allowances depending on the position, your experience and qualifications.

This is a permanent position to be filled on January 1, 2027 or as agreed.

The department is a smoke-free workplace, which means staff are not allowed to smoke during working hours.
