As our new nurses, you will be part of a professional – and collegial – strong team, where you work with rehabilitation, palliation and complex nursing issues in close collaboration with the citizen and a multidisciplinary team.

The position is full-time - primarily day shifts, with a few evening shifts. In addition, a shift every 4th weekend (possible to request even/odd weeks).

We are based at the Health Center in Køge, a few minutes’ walk from Køge Station.

We offer you

  • opportunity to develop your skills within rehabilitation, palliation and complex nursing in a professionally challenging environment.
  • to join a strong multidisciplinary team that works closely on citizens’ pathways and, among other things, holds regular patient conferences with dietitians, specialists and therapists.
  • Education and ongoing sparring: We have, among other things, regular professional forums every two weeks as well as joint teaching and space for mono-disciplinary sparring.
  • a planned introductory program and a visible leader who prioritizes professional development and influence in daily work.

Your tasks

  • Holistic care based on a preventive and rehabilitative approach
  • Instrumental nursing tasks such as medication management, IV treatment, palliation and wound care.
  • Prioritization and handover of tasks in the team, including training of colleagues and professional sparring, so that we use resources sensibly and elevate tasks with high professional quality.
  • Clinical decision-making and leadership of both simple, acute and complex pathways – both independently and in collaboration with your colleagues.

About Temporary 24-hour Placements Temporary 24-hour Placements are the special space between hospital and home care. We work with citizens who often have complex issues and where there is a need for both nursing assessments, rehabilitation, palliation and multidisciplinary coordination after illness or hospitalization.

As part of the Health Reform, from 1/1-27 we will manage the health and care placements for the Region in a defined period of 2 years under municipal leadership.

We are 41 employees distributed among nurses and social- and health-care assistants. We also have our own fixed relief corps.

We have close collaboration with a selection of specialists including wound care and incontinence. And we have a geriatric doctor who makes rounds once a week.

Our work environment is good and we are a collegial group with high spirits and great care for one another.

In the Health Center we also have a large multidisciplinary network, and there are opportunities to participate in social events both in the building and in our own department.

Green and Blue Ward

We have two wards: Green and Blue. You will primarily be on Green, but must be able to cover Blue during holidays and illness.

Green Ward houses citizens after hospital discharge where clarification or relief is needed. We have 15 beds in Green.

Blue Ward houses cognitively challenged citizens – including those with dementia. There are in total eight beds – five respite beds and three rolling beds.

Who are we seeking? You must be a trained nurse with Danish authorization.

We also expect that you have experience with clinical nursing, rehabilitation or hospital experience.

We place emphasis on

  • Being a team player with humor and collaboration skills, who wants a good working environment
  • Having strong professional expertise and wanting to work with complex pathways.
  • Both able to work independently and participate in multidisciplinary collaboration
  • Wishing to solve nursing tasks with a rehabilitative approach
  • Having a good understanding of documentation and being able to argue professionally about it.
  • We document in Nexus, and training will be included in the introductory program.
