Nurse for a specialized geriatric psychiatric ward – An exciting intersection between psychiatry and somatics Are you passionate about complex nursing? Do you want to make a noticeable difference for the most vulnerable older patients in the North Jutland Region?

As a nurse at N4D, you will become a central part of a highly specialized team that works in the complex interface between psychiatry and somatics. We are looking for a dedicated nurse who can unite high professional standards with a human approach, so we can together create security, dignity and increased quality of life for patients with complex dementia diseases and/or severe behavioral disturbances.

About the position and N4D

N4D is a closed, intensive geriatric psychiatric ward with region-wide acute function. With us you will experience a everyday life where the professional challenges are great, but they are solved through strong interdisciplinary collaboration and close collegial solidarity.

In your role with us you will

• Perform specialized and complex nursing with a focus on both somatic and psychiatric needs.
• Become an expert in de-escalating nursing and prevention of coercion.
• Participate in a close, interdisciplinary collaboration with colleagues at N4, as well as with the many cross-sector partners.
• Actively contribute to ongoing professional development, in and outside the ward.

Practical information

• Position : 1 nurse.
• Employment fraction : Full-time (37 hours/week), but we are open to dialogue about another fraction.
• Shifts :
• We work in 2 shifts; DV and AV are preferred, but we are open to dialogue.
• We work every 3rd weekend (this position is desired to be filled with a working weekend in weeks 6, 9, 12, 15, etc. in 2027)
• Workplace : The position is a cross-department appointment between the two geriatric psychiatric inpatient wards (N4A and N4D), but with a “base” at N4D.
• Salary : Salary and terms follow the applicable agreement for non-management staff under the Health Cartel, DSR.
