Registered nurse wanted for an exciting split position between the Organ Surgical Outpatient Clinic and Endoscopy as well as the Organ Surgical Ward Would you like to combine short ambulatory nursing with longer and more complex patient pathways?

We are looking for a nurse who is eager to apply their professional skills across our two departments and contribute to good, coherent patient pathways.

The position is 37 hours per week or as agreed. Start date is January 1, 2027.

About the position Your working time is distributed between the Organ Surgical Outpatient Clinic and Endoscopy as well as the Organ Surgical Ward. There will be weekend, evening and night shifts in the ward. You will be employed under the Chief Nurse in the outpatient clinic and endoscopy and will work closely with the management in the ward.

We offer an individually tailored induction program with a fixed mentor and buddy as well as ongoing conversations and professional sparring. We prioritise competence development, cross-disciplinary collaboration and a good balance between work and private life. You will therefore have a strong influence on your work schedule. You should expect a total of 12 weeks of introduction, of which 8 weeks are in the ward. In addition, we use MyMedCards for large parts of the introduction.

We work from the reference framework of Sygehus Lillebælt for excellent nursing with the patient at the centre.

Organ Surgical Outpatient Clinic and Endoscopy The department consists of both experienced and newer nurses, and we help each other across in a flexible and changing everyday life. In the outpatient clinic and endoscopy the working hours are weekday daytime.

We provide various ambulatory services to patients with, among other things, wound, stoma, reflux, hernia and gallbladder issues. All functions have a large patient flow and are either independent functions or in collaboration with a nurse/doctor. Furthermore, we have 3 endoscopy rooms, which perform gastroscopies and colonoscopies in the organ surgical and medical domain.

We have close cooperation with, among others, the Emergency Department, Surgery and Recovery, and the Day Clinic.

Organ Surgical Ward The Ward is a specialized inpatient ward with 18 short-stay beds. The organ surgical specialty at Kolding Hospital covers both upper and lower surgery, and we mainly receive acute patients. They present with malignant as well as benign conditions in the gastrointestinal tract, biliary tract and pancreas. In addition, we receive, to a limited extent, planned patients for operations such as gallstones, hernias and PEG tube placements, etc.

An experienced nurse handles the daily coordination function, which ensures good opportunities for supervision and professional sparring. We collaborate closely with the hospital’s other departments, including the Emergency Department, the Surgery Department, the Day Clinic and the Short-Term Surgical Ward.
