Would you like to build on your experience as a veterinary nurse and develop your competencies in a specialized animal hospital with many different disciplines and patient pathways?

We are seeking a licensed veterinary nurse with experience from clinical small animal practice, who wants to become part of our hospital and our professional community.

About the position

The position is for you who have already built a clinical foundation as a veterinary nurse and now want to build on your competencies. At the same time it is advantageous if you have a good overview and are willing to manage our daily planning, as the role will involve being part of our coordinator team.

We are looking for a colleague with a desire to continue developing professionally. It could be within anesthesia and analgesia, but it could also be within other of the hospital's disciplines. The most important thing is that you are curious, motivated, and want to build on your clinical foundation.

We have skilled and experienced veterinary nurses with different professional competencies. You will therefore become part of an environment where there are good opportunities for professional sparring, on-the-job learning, and development, regardless of which professional direction you want to build on.

We are an advanced animal hospital where work with complex surgical and medical patients is a natural part of everyday life. Many of our patients require special attention regarding anesthesia, analgesia, and medical treatment and care, and you will have the opportunity to work with patients and procedures of varying complexity as your competencies develop.

The position also includes many of the classic tasks for a veterinary nurse at an animal hospital – tasks that help ensure our daily operations and flexibility, so we are ready to help the next patient, client, or referring colleague.

Shift work is part of the position

Participation in our on-call schedule is a fixed part of employment.

It is therefore important that you already have clinical experience and a solid foundation to build on. You do not necessarily need to have worked in on-call before. If the on-call part is new to you, we will provide an introduction and training so you are well prepared for the task.

On-call work also provides an opportunity to further develop your competencies in emergency treatment, anesthesia, and handling acutely and critically ill patients.

In the long term we are aiming for a model where the hospital can be staffed with a veterinary nurse 24/7. You should therefore be aware that working hours going forward may also include planned work in the evenings and at night. This working time will then form part of your standard hours and will be in accordance with collective agreements.
