About the job

Are you a social and health care assistant with strength in relationship-building and can you work in a structured way, then you may have the professional solidity and curiosity that we want to have as a hallmark here at Følstruphusene.

Følstruphusene House B, where we are seeking a new colleague, forms the framework for the lives of 10 residents. The residents have permanently reduced physical and mental functioning. They live in their own apartments, but there is also a common living room, kitchen and garden, so there is both the option to participate in and opt out of the community.

Some of the residents are on the autism spectrum; this means that we plan the environment and daily life based on a structured pedagogical approach. Welfare technology solutions are central in this work. We have, for example, an IBG screen, which contributes to predictability and independence for the residents. For residents it is crucial that the pedagogical efforts, care and nursing are based on the resident's own perspective, life history, habits and psychological needs.

You participate in medication meetings, act as the contact person for two residents and collaborate closely with colleagues and the Bocenter's nurse. Documentation takes place in Sensum Bosted, and we work methodically with VUM and FSIII. Everyday life offers a focus on quality of life, health and dignified pathways.

You also have the opportunity to take extra-long shifts via local agreement, up to 16 hours at a time, a maximum of four times a month. With us you will be met by dedicated colleagues who ensure you a good and individually tailored introduction, ongoing professional sparring and a safe, developing team environment.

What is the core task

  • Development and maintenance of the residents' skills.
  • Basic care and nursing.
  • Contact person responsibility for the social- and health-care-related efforts, administration and practical tasks.
  • Structured pedagogy with total communication – also with welfare technology aids.
  • Systematic documentation of the professional practice.

This is what we expect from you

  • You have a social- and health care education.
  • You participate in tasks around medication dosing together with colleagues responsible for medications.
  • You focus on the residents' health condition and act accordingly. Contact with doctors and other health professionals.
  • Responsibility as a mobility instructor – you will receive training in this.
  • You contribute your professional knowledge to create the best possibilities for quality of life and development for the residents.
  • You have a well-developed mentalization ability and meet the residents with empathy, respect and recognition for their individual personalities and integrity.
  • You are eager to share your knowledge with us – and together work towards common goals that are based on the residents' needs.

We offer you

  • To collaborate with a small group of residents in an exciting development environment based on a structured pedagogical approach.
  • To collaborate with a group of staff and managers focusing on professional sparring.
  • Local agreement with the possibility of longer shifts up to 16 hours
  • Good opportunities to put your skills to use, acquire new competencies and influence development at Bocenteret.

Where and when?

The position is 37 hours per week with employment starting December 1, 2026.

You will have rotating working hours. This means weekday days off and that you will work every other weekend and on some holidays.

Working hours run between 6:30 and 23:00. Følstruphusene is beautifully located in Nødebo on the shores of Esrum Lake, about 7 km from Hillerød.

Is that you?

If you are curious about how to use your professional skills in everyday life and in micro-moments in collaboration with residents and colleagues, then search for more information on our website or call the department head in House B, Kirsten Ryborg Jensen at telephone 72 32 60 09 and hear more about the culture in the houses and about the tasks awaiting you.
