About the job

Are you stable and do you want to be part of a workplace in rapid development, with high staffing levels and flexible working conditions, where no day is the same?

So come and be part of our community at Æblehaven!

We are now seeking a trained Social and Health Care Assistant for the evening shift.

About the job

You will be part of a multidisciplinary team, where we work based on Tom Kitwood's person-centred care philosophy, and value and acknowledge Æblehaven's residents as unique people with the right to self-determination. This means that in our daily work we put the person living with dementia at the center rather than the disease, and that our care and support are planned from the individual's perspective, life history, habits, and psychological needs.

As an employee at Æblehaven you must be prepared for a job where no day is the same, and where you need to be present and create calm, ensure homeliness and meaningful activities together with the residents. In return you will receive great professional freedom and the opportunity to make your mark on task solving.

Work tasks include, among other things, person-centered care and nursing, everyday rehabilitation activities, and collaboration with relatives.

We are a good match if you

  • are passionate about dementia care, or about residents who don’t fit into boxes
  • are good at building relationships and are curious about residents' experience of the world
  • can combine a health-professional approach with social-pedagogical activities
  • thrive in multidisciplinary collaboration where everyone pulls together
  • can navigate an unpredictable daily life

What you can expect from us

We have the framework and a higher staffing level to focus on what works for the residents.

Our staffing level in the evening shift is 5-6 staff for our 24 residents.

We place a high value on being professionally curious and bringing our different professional and personal competencies into play, to ensure the most optimal solution for each resident. We believe we are most successful in collaboration and therefore create space to learn from each other and share our experiences across disciplines with the aim of ensuring our residents' well-being.

It is not a prerequisite that you have experience in dementia care, as long as you are willing to learn new things and develop yourself – we will ensure you are equipped for the tasks through professional tools, buddying and supportive leadership.

About us

Our overall center consists of Frydenholm with 59 nursing home beds, as well as the Æblehaven Shared Home with 24 secured apartments for residents with dementia, and Day Center Frydenholm and Day Center Skovvang, which are services to people living at home, also residents with dementia. We emphasize providing meaningful activities and social interaction in daily life through close multidisciplinary collaboration and testing new initiatives based on residents' needs and wishes.

Additionally, we work with a focus on close involvement of relatives and good transitions across. We are located on Kongevejen in Holte, in scenic surroundings with good public transport connections and our own parking garage.
