We are facing an exciting development – and we look forward to welcoming a new resident to our residential facility. This means we need to hire more skilled colleagues who will help create safe and meaningful surroundings.

Grejsdalen 23 is a §108 residential facility with room for eight adult residents with significant physical and mental functional impairments – and we are looking for you , who are clear in your communication, present in your presence and persistent in exploring how we can contribute to maintaining the resident's well-being.

We are seeking pedagogues 32-37 hours per week , who can help shape everyday life together with both residents, colleagues and managers. You will have both day and evening shifts as well as a weekend shift every other weekend – but we want to engage in dialogue and look at your wishes and needs, so the everyday life fits together.

Our everyday life – never boring, always meaningful

We are divided into two teams, where you will be attached to one and together with a colleague you will have contact-person responsibility for a resident – but we see the whole house as one united staff team, where we help each other and safeguard the sense of community.

• A daily life where no day is the same – each shift starts with a short overlap, where you plan the shift together.
• High professional competence and strong sense of community – you will become part of a multidisciplinary team, where you will play a central role in both professional practice, documentation and development. Here there is room for your voice and your expertise.
• Close collaboration with the professional manager and the department manager – both your professional leader (with social-pedagogical background) and your immediate supervisor (occupational therapist) are physically present in the house and prioritize sparring, development and professionalism.
• We call it professional immersion – but it feels like real time to dive in, exchange ideas and become sharper together with your team.

Who are the residents?

Many of our residents do not have verbal language, but they read moods and body language with great precision – so you must be ready to fine-tune your approach and communication from resident to resident.

• Have individual support for, among other things, structure and social interaction.
• Have need for clear, safe boundaries and recognizability in daily life .
• Have individual goals and dreams , which we work rehabilitatively from.
• Have relatives , whom we see as important partners in their lives.
• Are diverse – and therefore require flexibility and an adapted pedagogical approach .

You know that it is a natural part of the job that we help residents with their personal care. Several residents use wheelchairs to varying degrees , and you will help ensure that they can be as independent as possible. There can be outwardly acting-out behavior, but this does not happen every day.

The region is obliged to inform you of the starting salary for the position. You will be told the base pay, centrally fixed allowances and pension in the collective agreement . In addition to the starting salary, the pay may include any negotiated allowances depending on the position, your experience and qualifications.
