As a night shift nurse at the nursing home you will become a central key person who ensures continuity, high professional standards and security for our residents through the dark hours of the day. You will work closely with experienced social- and health care assistants and social- and health workers.

We are looking for an SSA who thrives well at night hours, where the focus will be on creating calm and security for the residents.

We are looking for someone who is

• Trained as a social- and health assistant and strong in relationship-building.
• Professionally reflective and good at prioritizing your tasks.
• Meets residents at eye level with respect, patience and empathy.
• Can maintain an overview, display calm and act competently in acute situations.
• Can ensure early detection of disease worsening and act proactively.
• Sees the value in working with person-centered care, where the focus is on `contact before task`.
• Has good collaboration skills.
• Values good professional documentation highly (we work in Nexus).

And additionally

• Can meet residents where they are, with presence and empathy.
• Contributes to a good working environment.
• Is stable and has a positive work ethic.

• A position in a fixed night shift in a 7:7 rotation of 28 hours/week in even weeks.

At Trekroner Nursing Home you will meet an engaged staff group that is cross-disciplinary with SSH, SSA, occupational therapists, Marte Meo therapists, activity staff, unskilled talents and nurses, all contributing to creating quality of life and meaningful activities for our residents. The nursing home is also a large training site for both SSH and SSA students, as well as nursing students, and this work is highly valued in the organization.

We are a department with 16 residents. The resident group is younger – all with acquired brain injury. At Trekroner Nursing Home we emphasize that residents and relatives should experience Trekroner as a safe, good and active place to live and reside. It is the resident’s home and we anchor in what is important for the residents - this guides all care and assistance provided to the individual. We work from a rehabilitative approach, focusing on each resident’s prerequisites, resources and needs.
