About us

VIA Nursing Education has about 1100 students and is the largest nursing education west of the Great Belt. In Aarhus we annually admit about 330 new nursing students. We are geographically located at Campus Aarhus N and are one of five health educations on the campus.

We are part of VIA University College and work closely across the 6 study sites in VIA Nursing Education. We have uniform semester descriptions, examination criteria and selected teaching programs. We are committed to strengthening students’ learning through, among other things, practice-related learning, targeted didactics, digital tools and various forms of guidance and feedback.

We are about 50 teachers, two managers and three administrative staff who look forward to welcoming you as a colleague.

About the position

We are seeking a lecturer with a nursing professional profile who can handle tasks within a wide range of teaching and guidance duties, including the most important:

• plan, implement and evaluate teaching activities and guidance programs as well as examinations in the theoretical and clinical part of the education.
• actively participate in the development and implementation of educational activities in collaboration with colleagues at the nursing education, our partners at the clinical teaching sites and students.
• join cross-professional teaching teams that ensure a high degree of interdisciplinarity, coordination and quality in the education.

About you

We emphasize that you

-see the value in working with young people.

-have pedagogical abilities and interest, insight in or experience with teaching, and that you can facilitate learning for the students.

-are a good communicator who can make the complex health care area understandable and relevant with a focus on how knowledge can be translated into professional nursing practice.

-are good at collaboration, and have organizational understanding.

-have a flair for the digital and want to use e-learning elements to support the professional didactics and the students’ learning.

-are a trained nurse, have practical experience from the profession, and are engaged in the developments taking place in the health care system.

-have the desire and the ability for development.

-have a relevant further education at the master’s or PhD level.

Employment terms

Depending on your educational background, the employment is according to either the applicable state agreement for academics or the joint agreement for LC/CO10 and the organizational agreement for teachers at vocational academies and professional bachelor colleges.

The employment is covered by Decree no. 414 of 27 April 2025 on the position structure for teachers at universities of applied sciences, professional colleges, Denmark’s Media and Journalism School and maritime education institutions, as well as Decree no. 413 of 27 April 2025 on lecturing qualification, lecturer evaluation and docent evaluation.

The position is 37 hours per week and expires on 31 . January 2028.

The main workplace is Campus Aarhus N, but you should expect that activities may take place across the Central Region of Denmark (Region Midtjylland).
