Maternity-leave substitute sought for the Environmental Protection Agency's Finance Unit in Odense

The Environmental Protection Agency is seeking 1 maternity-leave replacement for a 9-month vacancy in the Budget and Governance team in Finance.

Finance is a staff unit in the Environmental Protection Agency, where both budgeting and accounting are included. You will join the Budget and Governance team, which is led by a head of division and a team leader. The office also includes the accounting and controlling team. The Budget and Governance team consists of employees who work with financial management, budget appropriations, target- and result management, financial analyses and a number of other finance-related tasks.

As a maternity-leave replacement you will be part of the group of financial partners and thus assist in the work with classic government financial management tasks such as budget planning, forecasts and management board matters across the agency and in relation to our ministry.

As a maternity-leave replacement you, in collaboration with one or more colleagues, will be responsible for following up on part of the Environmental Protection Agency's finances with contributions to, among other things, quarterly and monthly forecasts and reports to the agency's executive board and the ministry. The Environmental Protection Agency has an extensive economy with many funding sources including several fee schemes and a substantial grants economy – there is something for every taste.

Your profile

We expect that you have a relevant higher education with substantial economic content and preferably experience from a similar position.

• Experience with financial management, budget follow-ups, management of revenues or payroll.

The Environmental Protection Agency is part of the Ministry of the Environment and the Danish authority in the environmental field. We work for water and marine nature, climate adaptation, safe chemistry, green production and circular economy. Our core task is to translate nature and environmental legislation into reality in interaction with the outside world.

The Environmental Protection Agency is nationwide and has about 900 employees. The agency's headquarters with about 700 workplaces is located in Odense, where you will also be based.

Salary and employment terms

Salary and terms of employment are in accordance with the current collective agreement between the Ministry of Finance and a number of academic organizations for academics in the state (the Academic Collective Agreement).

Employment can take place either as an administrative officer or a senior consultant depending on your qualifications.

The employing authority is the Ministry of the Environment with its associated institutions.

The place of service will be the Environmental Protection Agency, Lerchesgade 35 in Odense.

The vacancy is to be filled from 1 December 2026 to 30 September 2027.
