Lemvig Municipality is seeking dedicated students for the basic course 2 (GF2) as well as the main course for the Pedagogical Assistant education with start date 11 January 2027.

If you dream of working with children in day care, this is an ideal opportunity to obtain an education with professional challenges, personal development and a strong focus on children\'s play, learning and development. As a pedagogical assistant trainee you will be an important part of the work to create safe and development-oriented child environments.

• Salary and employment conditions in accordance with applicable rules for trainees
• Working hours are 37 hours per week
• The starting salary for a full-time PAU trainee amounts to 13,552.45 DKK per month (adult trainee over 25 years; 25,121.92 DKK per month).
• Safe and coherent internship periods – all internship periods take place in the same building
• Experienced and engaged training supervisors who support you throughout the education
• Salary during the education – including possibility for adult trainee pay
• Transport allowance – if your commute to school is over 20 km

The education

The program alternates between school and in-service training. School periods take place at the Social and Health School\'s department in Holstebro.

Admission requirements

• You have completed GF1 at the Social and Health School, or
• You have finished primary school or equivalent more than 14 months ago

If you are over 25 years old, you must have conducted a recognition of prior learning (RKV).

• Exam certificates
• Documentation for GF1 and any other completed educational programs
• Statements and recommendations
• Proof of first aid and fire fighting
• Documentation of relevant work experience (if you are applying for adult trainee pay)
• If you are 25 or older when you start your education and have at least 1 year of relevant employment within the last 4 years, you can apply for adult trainee pay.
