Become a social work coordinator and help create coordinated interventions for vulnerable people in the Social Administration

We are seeking a social professional coordinator who can work across the Social Administration's Youth Area and contribute to strengthening case handling in Copenhagen Municipality. The position is anchored in the Youth Area of Din Sociale Indgang, in our department for vulnerable adults. As a social professional coordinator you will play an important role in supporting professional development, ensuring quality in case handling and working across authority areas.

Who are we, and what do we work for?

The Youth Area in Din Sociale Indgang has the authority for all young people in Copenhagen between 18 and 30 years old and vulnerable Copenhagen residents 18+. We are distributed in four departments and a total of 80 employees. Our goal is to create the best conditions for Copenhageners with disabilities, vulnerability or mental health challenges to live a life with quality, mastery and development.

We work holistically and cross-disciplinary, and as a social professional coordinator you will have a unique opportunity to help shape the future authority work.

In our department UPA3 in the Youth Area we work according to the principles of housing first and recovery in collaboration with the citizen. Our effort must support the citizen in having a better living situation in their own home and to be kept in the support system and thereby avoid further social and health deterioration.

UPA3 consists of 16 employees, all working with vulnerable Copenhagen residents 18+. In UPA3 we have five different initiatives, where citizens have physical, psychological, social and/or substance misuse issues and need help to seek out and maintain the necessary support and treatment from the ordinary support systems.

UPA3 handles case processing in relation to the Adult Provisions of the Social Services Act and serves as a bridge to other initiatives. The employees work outreach and establish contact with the citizen and support the stabilizing help on the streets in relation to economy, basic health, substance misuse and psychiatric and somatic treatment. In UPA3 there is close collaboration with colleagues from psychiatry, the addiction center and the employment-oriented effort around the citizen's rehabilitative plan.

Your role as a social professional coordinator

As a professional coordinator you will play a central role in ensuring high professional quality and coherence in our work. You will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including professional sparring, advice and coordination of complex cases. You will contribute to structure in the work with cases in the different teams.

Your coordinating role also includes handling of complex cases, where you must ensure coherence and high professional quality in all parts of the case processing. You will also actively participate in various professional forums, both internal and external, and thereby contribute to our professional development. Finally, you will support the head of department in professional leadership so that together you can ensure the best possible effort for the citizens we work for.

In the position you will work closely with your four coordinating colleagues and engage in sparring, knowledge sharing and planning across teams.

We are looking for you who are a strong professional with solid experience from the authority sector and a passion for working with young people in social psychiatry and the disability area.

• You have a social work education (social worker, social facilitator or similar)
• You have experience with case processing and knowledge of the target groups
• You can convey your knowledge and create learning through sparring and guidance
• You are motivating and coaching in your approach to your colleagues
• You thrive in a coordinating role and can navigate a complex everyday life

Salary and employment terms

According to collective agreement for social workers, social facilitators and/or HK agreement for administration and IT. A background check will be requested at recruitment and we will obtain references.
