About Børnegården Humle Tumle

Børnegården Humle Tumle is a department under Dagtilbud Sønderborg City in Sønderborg Municipality. We are an integrated institution normed to:

• 42 infants in nursery groups across 3 nursery groups
• 76 preschool children across 3 preschool groups

Our core task is

„Happy children in a developing environment“

The core task is solved in collaboration, and our pedagogical practice takes its starting point in a relation- and resource-oriented approach . We work purposefully with child communities, friendships and children's well-being.

In Dagtilbud Sønderborg City we aim to tailor our offers to the different families with children who live in our area.

A board has been elected in the area, consisting of parent and staff representatives from all departments.

The day care is led by a day care manager and a deputy manager, as well as 12 daily pedagogical leaders. This leadership structure takes into account the complexity of leadership responsibilities across our departments, so that both safe operation, organizational and pedagogical development are ensured.

Great emphasis is placed on parental involvement in relation to children’s learning, well-being, development and formation.

We have chosen to work project-based in relation to the approved political goals as well as our own cross-departmental initiatives with daily pedagogical leadership as project manager.

We are an area with a high ambition level regarding staff development, which is seen as a strength given the broad knowledge generated and used in the area.
