Kornumgård Kindergarten is looking for an Educator for a permanent position of 37 hours.

We have received an opportunity to add a skilled member to our team.

At Kornumgård Kindergarten we place great importance on creating an environment where community and safety are central. We believe that children thrive best when they feel secure and valued, and therefore we work purposefully to create an atmosphere characterized by presence and care .

Nature plays a central role in our daily activities. We believe that children develop a deeper understanding and respect for the environment through direct experiences in nature. Therefore we integrate nature , sustainability and from soil to table into our pedagogy, and we teach the children the importance of taking care of our planet. We have a sensory garden which is the focal point of the concept from soil to table with all berries and vegetables the children grow. We have rabbits and chickens, which the children help to take care of, and parents and children rotate to care for the animals on weekends.

Kornumgård is located on the outskirts of the town with a wonderful outdoor area. On the playground there are often family days by the campfire, and on rainy days you can warm up by the wood stove in our nature workshop.

As a Kindergarten we are always in a development process regarding our learning and play environments, so our framework is adapted to our group of children. Work is done both in the rooms and across the building. There is high ceilings and room for lots of creativity both indoors and outdoors.

The pedagogical learning environment inside and outside buzzes with presence and is characterized by a reciprocal exchange between adult- and child-initiated play and social interaction.

You will become part of a team consisting of both educators and teaching assistants. In cooperation with your educator colleague in the room, you will have the opportunity to bring in your own knowledge and competences and set common goals. As an educator you have responsibility tasks regarding contact pedagogue, planning, collaboration and development work. In addition you will share responsibility for the professional development within the Strengthened Pedagogical Curriculum and especially pedagogical documentation.

Working hours are placed within opening hours, which are every weekday from 06:00 to 17:00. In addition there are various evening meetings.

We expect that;

• You are trained as an educator.
• That you have resilience and can meet the children's needs.
• Have a wish for movement, creativity, animals, nature and an active outdoor life.
• That you want to be actively participating in the children's play.
• Can work based on The Strengthened Pedagogical Curriculum
• You have good IT skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Teams, AULA, Outlook etc.
• You are engaged, structured and professionally well-founded
• You are flexible, duty-conscious and positive
• You have a positive view of people, are welcoming, stable and adaptable in a often busy daily life
• You are solution-oriented and good at maintaining overview, even in busy situations
• You believe it is important to follow common goals and make decisions in collaboration

Your tasks will be

• to work from Brønderslev Municipality's view of children
• to support the children's well-being, development and learning in collaboration with the other staff in the room
• to work purposefully with Brain and Heart, ICDP, TOPI and KVALid
• to emphasize a good and trusting parent collaboration
• to create a structured and clear environment for the children
• to help work across rooms and create coherence in the house
• to work with the learning environment in the rooms and in the children's community.
