About the job

Are you passionate about authority work and want to be part of a committed and experienced team? Then you now have the opportunity to become our new colleague in the visitation team in Brøndby Municipality, as our colleague has sought new challenges.

About us

Visitation consists of a total of 31 employees distributed across administrative staff, visitation-, assistive device-, and caseworker teams as well as an assistive device depot.

”We value professional quality in our case processing. With a basis in our professional knowledge we ensure timely assistance that supports the citizen's ability to live as independently as possible. Become part of a strong professional environment,” - Annette/visitator

The visitation team consists of 9 visitators who handle authority tasks within personal care, practical help, rehabilitation, nursing and elderly housing, etc. In addition we have 4 discharge coordinators who ensure good and cohesive transitions from hospital to municipality. We process cases from a holistic approach based on the municipality's quality standards, service descriptions and applicable legislation.

We are self-organizing and have great influence on planning our workday with the basis of shared task solving. The visitator group is organized into smaller teams reflecting the municipality's districts and areas of law within both the Elderly Act and the Service Act. This provides in-depth knowledge of the area's home care groups, partners and citizens.

Interdisciplinary collaboration is a natural part of everyday life, and we participate weekly in interdisciplinary meetings with home care, therapists, dementia coordinators and preventive staff to ensure coherent processes for citizens. We also hold fixed dashboard meetings together with home care, where we follow the development of care and welfare processes and discuss citizens to ensure the right efforts, type of course and a shared professional direction.

The vacancy is located in District East together with 2 experienced colleagues and you will be attached to a team responsible for citizens covered by the Elderly Act.

Vision

Our vision "Earlier out – closer to" is the core of our work. We believe that strong relationships and close cooperation with citizens, home care and other partners create the best everyday life for citizens.

Therefore we place a high value on communication and collaboration skills and actively work to build social capital across the organization.

Authority responsibility and role

We work based on the Elderly Act's intentions of nearby visitation, self-determination and holistic processes. It requires strong professional competencies, good collaboration skills and the ability to handle complex problems. At the same time we are aware of our authority responsibility and the role as gatekeeper regarding the municipality's interventions.

"With us you get both influence and security. You will be heard and have the opportunity to influence future changes, often with real co-determination. We stand together and help each other across, and you always have management behind you. It creates a strong community and a safe everyday life where we pull together..." – Dorte/visitator
