About the job
We are expanding in the disability area, and we are seeking a visitation officer for § 83 and BPA. Do you want to help develop the function?
Do you have a health professional background and a desire to use your expertise in authority work? Are you interested in working with complex citizen cases and in finding solutions that are based on each citizen's needs and everyday life?
So maybe you are the one we are looking for.
We are expanding in the disability area and are seeking a visitation officer who will play a central role in the work with personal and practical assistance under the Social Services Act § 83 as well as BPA under § 96.
The position is anchored in Visitation Handicap & Psychiatry, which is the authority in the specialized adult area. You will become part of an authority department in development, where we work purposefully to strengthen professionalism, create clear workflows and ensure coherent interventions for the citizens.
The position is established as part of our expansion and gives you the opportunity to help develop the function and workflows from the start.
You will especially work with assessing citizens' needs for help under § 83 and with the health-professional and functional assessments that are part of BPA cases under § 96.
You will also become a close partner for a social-work caseworker, who is anchored in Visitation Handicap & Psychiatry. The caseworker focuses on the social-work and legal part of the case, while you contribute with your health-professional and functional assessment.
We believe that the best solutions are created when different professions are brought together. Therefore you will work closely with both caseworkers, citizens, relatives, living facilities, suppliers and other relevant collaborators.
Your primary tasks
- Make concrete and individual assessments of citizens' need for help under the Social Services Act § 83
- Work with assessment of need for help and support in relation to BPA under § 96
- Participate in the assessment of citizens' functional ability and total assistance needs
- Obtain and assess relevant professional information
- Have dialogue with citizens, relatives and collaboration partners
- Collaborate closely with the social-work caseworker
- Contribute to follow-up and reevaluation when the citizen's needs change
- Document your professional assessments and contribute to a solid basis for the authority's decisions in our case management system CURA
- Contribute to developing workflows and the quality of authority work in the area.
- In BPA cases you will work closely with the social-work caseworker so that the health-professional, functional and social-work assessments are considered together. You will therefore play an important role in complex cases where the citizen's need for help must be assessed across disciplines.
We imagine that you
- Have a health-professional education, for example as a nurse, social- and health assistant, occupational therapist or physiotherapist, and preferably experience from visitation, authority work, home care, residential facilities or work with citizens with extensive and complex support needs.
- It is advantageous if you have knowledge of and preferably experience with the Social Services Act and with § 83 and § 96.
- You are good at creating structure in complex cases, can work independently and also have an eye for when a case requires close collaboration with other professions.
- You communicate clearly and respectfully and understand that authority work involves professionalism, law, documentation and dialogue with the citizen.
About the team and the workplace
In the team there are currently 17 employees. We are composed of an economic consultant, two administrative employees, four advisers who work with the disability area, four advisers who work with psychiatry, one adviser with § 109 and § 110 cases as well as social-free-card and Housing First, a professional coordinator, a social-work contract negotiator, an outreach employee under § 99 and a leader.
We are a workplace where high professionalism and hard work go hand in hand with humor and collegial care. We place emphasis on supporting each other in everyday life and have a shared understanding that no one can do everything alone, but together we can do a lot.
With us you get a position where you have the opportunity to
- become part of an expansion in the disability area
- help develop a new and strengthened visitation officer function
- have a close and committed collaboration with social-work caseworkers
- actively bring your health-professional expertise into authority work
- work with complex and professionally stimulating citizen cases
- have opportunities for professional sparring and development in an evolving authority department
- have the possibility of home working days
- participate in Team/discipline meetings every week.
We work from the premise that the citizen should experience coherence in the contact with the municipality. Therefore it is important for us that different professions work closely together and have a common view of the citizen's situation.
As a visitation officer you will be an important part of this collaboration. You will have your own professional role, but you will not be alone with the complex cases. You will become part of an authority community where the visitation officer's health-professional perspective and the caseworker's social-work and legal perspective complement each other.
The employment is anchored in Visitation Handicap & Psychiatry, and you report to the head of the authority area.
If you want to help develop a strong and coherent authority effort in the disability area, where your professionalism makes a difference for the citizens, we look forward to hearing from you.
