Can you create more paid hours for citizens on cash welfare?

In Job and Education in the Odsherred municipality we are looking for an engaged and results-oriented business consultant who is passionate about helping activity-ready welfare recipients over 30 years old closer to the labor market. Your main task will be to create concrete job opportunities with a focus on ordinary paid hours and to develop strong collaborations with local companies.

About the job

You will be part of the business development in Job and Education and will play a central role in working with citizens who are often far from the labor market. Through a guided, hands-on approach you will bridge the gap between citizens and companies with the clear goal of creating progression towards self-sufficiency through paid hours.

Your primary tasks will be to

• Proactively seek out and develop collaborations with companies
• Match activity-ready citizens with concrete job opportunities
• Work strategically with micro-jobs, short-hour jobs and paid hours as an entry path to the labor market
• Advise companies on funding opportunities, social clauses and company-oriented offerings
• Work closely with job counselors, mentors, social efforts and external partners
• Follow up on company placements and ensure progression for the citizens

We are looking for someone who

• Has experience with business service and/or the employment area
• Can build trust with both citizens and companies
• Is persistent and motivated by creating concrete results
• Has an understanding of the challenges activity-ready citizens may face
• Can work independently and at the same time thrives in interdisciplinary collaboration
• Is good at identifying opportunities rather than limitations

Practical information

The Town Hall in Højby is within walking distance from the station and close to Route 21 with direct access to Roskilde and Copenhagen.

The position is included in the municipality's local agreement on flexible working hours, with the possibility of a four-day work week.

Salary and employment terms according to the applicable collective agreement.

Interviews will take place in week 43, 2026.
