Caretaker for Valhalla

Valhalla is seeking a janitor with employment starting 1 January 2027. Valhalla is organized together with Paletten and the employment applies to both institutions, so there is collaboration with the janitor at Paletten.

The position is essentially full-time with 37 hours/week, distributed as 20 hours/week of janitor duties and 17 hours/week as a pedagogical assistant. You can apply either for the 20-hour-per-week janitor position or for the full-time position with 20 hours of janitor tasks and 17 hours as a pedagogical assistant.

Valhalla is a kindergarten with about 70 children and 15 staff, located on Bjarkesvej in Skive. We have large outdoor spaces in the form of a playground and an allotment garden, with houses and toilet facilities.

We are looking for

• A capable independent janitor
• A janitor with versatile craft qualifications
• An employee who has the ability to see for themselves what maintenance tasks should be prioritized
• An employee who can create a structure for fixed tasks while also handling ad-hoc tasks
• A janitor who enjoys being with children
• A flexible employee who is good at engaging in dialogue
• An employee with their own car available due to travel to the recycling center and similar

Work tasks

• Carrying out small repairs and maintenance indoors and outdoors
• Fire inspections
• Trim and maintain green areas
• Rectification of faults and deficiencies in relation to playground inspections
• Assist with creative projects
• Assembly and hanging of furniture, lamps and similar
• Diverse purchasing
• Monitoring of etc. water and energy consumption on various IT systems
