About the job

Do you want to help create the best framework for learning, community and well-being?

At UCplus Dansk we are seeking an engaged and practically oriented janitor. You will be an important part of daily life at a language centre where people from all over the world meet to learn Danish. We are looking for a colleague who thrives with a varied work day, takes responsibility and has an eye for the details that make a workplace function. The working hours are normally 37 hours in daytime hours, but if you cannot work full-time, we would also like to hear from you and ask you to indicate how many hours you can work per week and at what times of day.

As a janitor you will play a central role in the daily operation of our language centre. You help ensure that buildings, rooms and common areas appear inviting, well-functioning and ready for both teaching and events.

Your tasks will include

  • Tidying up and practical maintenance of our premises
  • Purchasing of materials, consumables and furniture
  • Smaller repairs and ongoing practical tasks
  • Contact and coordination with tradespeople and suppliers
  • Preparation of teaching rooms and meeting facilities
  • Practical assistance at meetings, exams and events
  • Supervision of buildings and installations
  • Other ad hoc tasks that contribute to a well-functioning daily life

We offer

  • A varied daily life with a great degree of freedom to plan and prioritise your work
  • A workplace with short decision-making paths and an informal tone
  • Skilled and helpful colleagues
  • An international and diverse environment
  • An attractive workplace centrally located in Copenhagen close to public transport

At UCplus you will become part of a workplace with high professionalism, strong engagement and great diversity. We work every day to help people move forward through education and integration, and we know that good physical premises are an important part of that task.

We expect that you

  • Are practically oriented and can work independently
  • Have a good overview and a sense of structure
  • Are detail-oriented and see the tasks that need to be solved
  • Are stable, responsible and meet colleagues and course participants with a positive attitude
  • Have good collaboration skills and thrive with many different points of contact
  • Can plan your own workday and see tasks through to completion

Experience in a similar position is an advantage but not a requirement. The most important thing is that you are solution-oriented and want to take responsibility.

How to apply

Send your application and CV via the link on the website no later than November 16. We conduct interviews on an ongoing basis and hire when we have found the right candidate.

We encourage all qualified applicants regardless of disability, gender, age, ethnic background or religion to apply. If you request priority as a disabled person in accordance with the Regulation on compensation for disabled persons in employment, apply as normal and then send an email to [email protected] with the subject "I request priority as a disabled person and have applied for the position of Janitor in Copenhagen. Please describe your disability and attach documentation.

HR will then forward the email to the hiring manager who will assess whether you should be invited to an interview based on your competencies."

If you have questions about the position, you can contact Chief Administrative Officer Lea Kaspersen at tel. 61460082 or e-mail: [email protected]

We look forward to hearing from you.
