About the job

Are you ready to play a central role in protecting Denmark's most sensitive information and simultaneously step into a responsible function as caseworker/code producer? With us you will have the opportunity to work with modern cryptographic solutions that secure both the defense and the rest of society.

About us

National Distribution Authority, which is physically located at Noret in Korsør, is organizationally part of the Crypto-, Card- and Publication Section, which is part of the Defence Logistics Service under the Operational Support Command.

National Distribution Authority is Denmark's distribution center for cryptographic material and codes. We function as Denmark's Central Office of Records for all Crypto-, TEMPEST- and other classified material across the Defense Ministry's group of agencies, other ministries, institutions as well as a number of civilian authorities.

We receive, register and lodge codes (keys), publications and material from foreign distribution centers as well as similar from Danish manufacturers, just as we distribute nationally produced keys, publications and material to our customer base in accordance with an overall approved distribution. In addition, we conduct auditing, accounting control and consultancy activities with our customers.

Our task portfolio spans widely and we are several different professional groups with diverse tasks in an informal environment, which nevertheless takes its starting point in military security and regulations for cryptographic management.

About the position

As a caseworker/code producer you will be an essential part of our team. Your primary tasks will be code production for national use – both within and outside the Defence.

Under daily supervision of the head of code production, you will, together with your colleagues, work on the vital tasks concerning:

  • Production, distribution, forwarding and destruction of cryptographic key material.
  • Ongoing control and reporting of errors or security breaches.
  • Keeping administrative databases up to date that support the critical code production.
  • Transfer of foreign codes to the national system and distribution, forwarding and destruction of these codes.
  • Ensuring that production always takes place in accordance with our stringent processes.

Our tasks range from production and distribution of all national cryptographic key material to receiving and sending material to end users throughout the Defence and elsewhere. There is always plenty to do, but when time allows it you also lend a hand with other operational tasks.

We offer a dynamic working environment with internal training and opportunities for relevant courses, both domestically and abroad, primarily based in Korsør.

About you

We imagine that you have administrative experience within cryptographic management or similar. Preferably with a strong IT flair at user level.

You thrive on working in a structured and detail-oriented way, and you see delivering uncompromising quality as your top priority. Your good sense of order and system is not just an advantage – it is essential in this position!

We are looking for you who

  • Have a sharp eye for processes and quality assurance. You understand the importance of following guidelines to the letter.
  • Are flexible and a strong team player, always ready to lend a hand when colleagues need it.
  • Love order, system and structure in your daily life – you are the one who thrives in an environment where precision is the key.
  • Experience from the Defence’s operational and/or technical work, or knowledge of the Defence cryptographic management, will be a big plus.
  • Master the art of keeping many balls in the air, work independently and take responsibility to drive tasks to a safe conclusion.
  • Are a stable, friendly and approachable colleague with a well-developed sense of order. You thrive on collaboration across the organization.

We attach great importance to a good work environment characterized by openness and an informal tone, and we expect you to actively contribute to this. It is also essential that you can comply with and enforce given security regulations.

Employment terms

The employment is in accordance with the applicable Collective Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and Public Employees' Organizations – The Public Sector (OAO-S Collective Agreement) and the Organization Agreement for office clerks, laboratory assistants and IT employees (HK) in the state.

Depending on your qualifications and competencies, there is a possibility for negotiation of allowances. There is a employer-funded pension scheme attached to the position.

The workplace is in Korsør

As an employee under the Defence Ministry’s area you are subject to some special terms. You must, among other things, be security cleared and maintain the security clearance throughout the employment relationship.

As an employee you are obliged to render service outside country borders, including at units in international operations with a view to participation in conflict prevention, peacekeeping, peacebuilding, humanitarian and other similar operations.
