Chief physician or consultant in psychiatry for the F-ACT team – Local Psychiatry Fredericia

About the position

As a chief physician/specialist in the F-ACT team you will be a central professional driving force in the treatment of adults with severe mental illness, often with complex issues and a need for intensive, flexible support.

Your main tasks will be

• Responsibility for assessment, diagnosis and treatment of patients attached to the F-ACT team
• Participation in and leadership of interdisciplinary conferences, including assessment of treatment plans
• Psychopharmacological treatment, follow-up and adjustment
• Co-responsibility for development and quality assurance of the F-ACT initiative, including implementation of guidelines and workflows
• Supervision and sparring for doctors in training and the interdisciplinary team

The position is essentially full-time (37 hours per week) with daytime hours. Any involvement in on-call shifts will be agreed upon.

About the F-ACT team and Local Psychiatry Fredericia

We work with assessment and treatment of adults with relatively serious psychiatric disorders. The F-ACT team is a broadly based team that works with most psychiatric diagnosis groups. A number of our patients have a concurrent substance use issue, which can be included in the treatment we offer.

The F-ACT Team currently consists of a chief nurse, a chief physician, a social worker, four psychologists (including two clinical psychologists), 11 nurses, a peer worker, a forthcoming specialist and associated secretaries.

We strive for a strong collegial working environment where we support each other and place high value on good collaboration. Wellbeing is a focus, and we work systematically with it – including to prevent emotional strain in the work. We offer sparring and regular supervision.

• Are a specialist in psychiatry
• Have an interest in outreach psychiatry, F-ACT, OPUS, dual diagnosis or similar
• Thrive in interdisciplinary collaboration and can create a common direction in complex patient pathways
• Are professionally ambitious and at the same time pragmatic and flexible in everyday life
• Have good communication skills and a desire to contribute to a positive working environment
• Are prepared to actively participate in the development of offerings in Local Psychiatry

About Psychiatric Department Vejle

The Psychiatric Department Vejle consists of the emergency department (PAM) and a ward located close to Sygehus Lillebælt in Vejle, as well as three local psychiatries in Kolding, Fredericia and Vejle.

Ward and local psychiatries have a close collaboration with joint meetings and video conferences.

The department continually prioritizes improvements in the working environment, education, research, innovation and high-quality patient care.

Psychiatry has been integrated with somatics at the turn of the year, which means that the Psychiatric Department Vejle is now part of Sygehus Lillebælt.

Salary and employment terms

Follows the applicable agreements between Danish Regions and the Association of Specialists (FAS). The position is covered by local salary formation.

The region is obliged to inform you about the starting salary for the position. You will be informed of base salary, centrally fixed allowances and pension in Underordnede læger - overenskomst 33.06.1 - løn pr. 1.4.2026 And Overlæger - overenskomst 33.04.1 - løn pr. 1.4.2026

In addition to the starting salary, the pay may include any negotiated allowances depending on the position, your experience and qualifications.
