As of January 1, 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter we are seeking a colleague in Them-Salten.

Your educational background is not decisive for whether you are the right person for the job - it is your desire to work pedagogically and your commitment to children's well-being and development that matter.

And it is important that you are willing to make your home available for four children, where the family has chosen the close and safe relationship and care option that gives each child an experience of being something special.

About Silkeborg Municipal Day Care

The group of day-care providers in Them-Salten consists of 9 day-care providers, distributed in smaller playroom groups.

Silkeborg Municipal Day Care currently employs 140 day-care providers, 6 pedagogical leaders and administrative staff. We care for about 500 children.

We expect that you

• Are an approachable and clear adult who can create structure and space for the child’s development, learning and well-being
• Work pedagogically with the children’s group
• Support the pedagogical curricula with a basis in motor skills, language, social skills, personal development, nature and culture
• Have the will and ability to collaborate with many different family constellations, values and cultures
• Enter into close collaboration with colleagues and other partners
• Actively participate in full-day playrooms and contribute to quality
• Are open to learning and continuing education
• Cooperate closely with the organization, where guidance and support from the pedagogical leader are central

We prefer that your home is allergen-free.

Salary and working hours

Salary and employment terms according to the applicable collective agreement and the local salary formation agreement. In addition, 60% of the salary is tax-deductible excluding the labour market contribution, to cover day-care costs. (see the Skat website)

If you are a pedagogical assistant or a pedagogue, it triggers an additional six pay grades.

The position is 48 hours per week, and the hours may fall within the period from 06:00 – 17:00.

Exactly how your working hours look will depend on the care needs of your particular group of children.
