About the job

A newly created position as a church employee at 25 hours at Ansgars Church, Aalborg, is available as of January 1, 2026. The position is initially a 2-year project post.

Ansgars Church is located between the Aalborg Congress and Culture Center and the Aalborg Tower. As a local parish church, we will be an open church for all, where people are. We want to reach out to our time and culture, so we in word and deed follow Jesus' command: “Go into all the world and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them and teaching them.” (from the church's value base www.ansgarskirken.dk)

Ansgars Church today has many communities for children, youth, adults and the elderly, both on weekdays and at weekends. The church space is bright and open and provides a fine setting for the parish's services, weddings, funerals and concerts. The newly built parish house and the rooms in the church's basement accommodate the diverse parish life during the week. Ansgars Church also has a tradition of an active and stylistically diverse music life.

We are seeking a church employee who knows themselves and knows God. We seek an independent employee who is good at forming relationships with everyone from teenagers to seniors, and who can coordinate and lead volunteers. An employee who can teach the Bible and can maintain an overview from idea to execution on, among other things, diaconal initiatives, parish evenings and various teaching evenings. An employee who can continue existing communities, but who can also rethink and pursue new paths.

In addition, we place high value on the ability to work independently and at the same time participate in a team with the church's other staff, so that the different resources are used as effectively as possible.
