Do you want to use your professional skills where they make the biggest difference? At Stevnsbogaard on Nordfyn we are looking for an engaged pedagogue who is passionate about creating development and security for adults with developmental disabilities – in combination with communication disorders, outward aggressive behavior, personality disorders or court-related issues.

About Stevnsbogaard

We are a social-pedagogical residential facility (§107 and §108) located in scenic surroundings on Nordfyn.

Our approach in meeting the citizens is that we never refuse without an instruction. This means that in situations such as conflicts where the citizen feels frustrated or has an inappropriate behavior, we give the citizen an alternative instruction for their behavior, rather than a rejection that could make the citizen feel wrong.

We work with high professional standards. For us, this means that we prioritize daily sparring and close collaboration with management, colleagues and relatives. We often use internal and external supervision, have engaging training days and good individual opportunities for further education and professional development.

Currently, many of our employees are taking LA2 and LA2U courses and certifications. In 2026, many of our staff are enrolled in KRAP basic training.

Practical example

‘’Sofie is 19 years old and lives in the care home. She has a mild developmental disability, ADHD and periods of depression. She can react angrily and withdraw, especially when she feels misunderstood in the community. Together with her contact person, Sofie works from KRAP. They start by creating a resource flower , where Sofie herself points out that she is good at helping others, drawing, taking care of her routines, and saying no when something feels uncomfortable. It gives her confidence and motivation.

Then they use a cognitive case formulation to examine a concrete situation where Sofie became angry because she thought the others were laughing at her. They identify her thought: “They’re making fun of me,” the feeling: sad and angry, and the action: scolding and leaving. Together they find a new thought: “It’s not certain that it’s about me,” which gives her more calm. To continue, they use the Bridge crossing .

Sofie learns to pause and notice what she needs in the situation – e.g., stepping out to breathe, or asking for support from a staff member. Finally they create a goal ladder , where Sofie sets a concrete goal: to stay in a social situation without getting angry. The first step is to walk away calmly, the next is to use breathing, and later to be able to ask others what they meant – instead of assuming the worst.

After several months of working with the above, Sofie experiences fewer conflicts and greater well-being. She begins to take the initiative to use the tools in everyday life.’’

Your tasks

• Support the citizens in daily life based on their functional level and action plans
• Plan and implement pedagogical activities, preferably based on your own interests
• Prepare documentation based on KRAP and LA2
• Take on the role of contact person and ensure coherence in the citizen’s progression
• Collaborate with municipalities, psychiatry and other actors
• Contribute to a safe and proper physical and psychological working environment
• Actively participate in professional sparring and supervision

We are looking for someone who

• Has a pedagogical education and preferably experience with developmental disabilities with outwardly aggressive behavior
• Is academically grounded – you can see behind the citizens’ behavior
• Solution-oriented and contributes with professional reflections
• Has an eye for both relationships and documentation
• Works loyally and systematically in accordance with common agreements
• Thrives in an environment with high complexity and interdisciplinary cooperation
• Takes responsibility for creating the conditions for a good working climate
• Can see yourself in a dynamic workplace where there is room for laughter and a lot of humor
• Has a driver’s license (category B)

Practical information

We offer different shifts (day, evening, night, 24-hour) and are flexible regarding your wishes. We hold interviews on an ongoing basis.
