Create safety at night – become a social- and healthcare assistant in our mobile night shift

When a citizen needs help at night, your calm, care and professional judgment make an important difference. In our roaming night shift in Høje-Taastrup Municipality you will have an independent and versatile job with close professional collaboration with the other night colleagues.

We are looking for social- and health care assistants who thrive with night work and wish to apply their professional skills to citizens with different needs—from planned visits to situations that require you to assess and act here and now.

A small team with an important shared task

At night, one nurse and two social- and health care assistants are on duty. You support each other, share observations and collaborate to give the citizens the right help.

You must be comfortable working independently with citizens. At the same time you have colleagues to discuss an observation or a professional decision with when needed.

The night shift is part of our overall home care house, where home care and nursing work closely together to create security and continuity for the citizens around the clock.

A daily life where you use your professional skills

You drive out to citizens in the entire Høje-Taastrup Municipality and carry out visits as approved under the Service and Nursing Act. Your tasks include, among other things:

• helping citizens with planned visits and emergency calls
• observing changes in citizens’ condition and assessing what action is needed
• handling acute and unforeseen situations in collaboration with night colleagues
• creating security in the meeting with citizens and relatives
• documenting your observations and actions so that your colleagues can follow up.

We are looking for someone who is professionally engaged and keeps calm

You are educated as a social- and health care assistant and preferably have experience from home care or another relevant health-related field.

You take responsibility and can prioritise your tasks, even when something unexpected occurs. You know when you can act independently and when you need to involve a colleague.

Working hours and employment

You work seven nights and then seven days off. The shifts are in even weeks. After the new year the work plan switches to odd weeks.

The working hours are 23.30–7.30.

Since visits to citizens take place by car, a driving license is a prerequisite for the position.

Employment is as soon as possible or no later than 1 December 2026.

Salary and terms of employment follow the current collective agreement with FOA.
