About the job

Do you have a solid understanding of data and would you like an exceptional opportunity to transform your knowledge into practical experience in the business world? Then you might be the intern we are looking for! We offer an internship position in an NGO that fights for children's future every day.

As a data analytics intern at Save the Children you will become part of our Donor Analytics, Systems & Operations team in Private Fundraising. In the role you will contribute to strengthening the use of data generated in connection with our fundraising and marketing activities as well as help to ensure reporting of key figures.

WORK TASKS

As a data analytics intern you will have a cross-functional role, where you will help support a performance- and data-driven department with analyses and reporting as well as daily operations and execution. This work should contribute to the data-based decision basis for our many fundraising and marketing activities, so we can continue to create good results. Your tasks will primarily be solved in the CRM system Microsoft Dynamics 365, Excel and Power BI. Your tasks will include:

  • Segmenting donors for fundraising and marketing activities
  • Quality assurance of data regarding system operations and execution of fundraising and marketing activities
  • Contribute to KPI reporting, including setup and maintenance of dashboards in Power BI
  • Diverse manual data tasks

“One of the things I like about working at Save the Children is that you don’t just become another intern in the crowd, but you become an integrated part of the department, where you are responsible for a range of different tasks across several different IT systems. Furthermore, I am involved in decision processes and my opinion is valued on par with the rest of the team.”

YOUR PROFESSIONAL AND PERSONAL PROFILE

As our upcoming intern we envision that you are studying at a higher education level and have a particular interest in working with data. In addition, we would like you to be analytically minded and enjoy working independently and in a structured way. More precisely we envision that you:

  • Are pursuing a higher education from e.g. EK, CBS, ITU, DTU, KU, AAU or similar
  • Have experience with Excel, a good understanding of data and IT, and enjoy working with numbers
  • Experience with Power BI is an advantage, but not a requirement. There will be good opportunities and room to learn the system
  • Thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment where independence and proactivity are essential
  • Are quality-conscious and good at spotting errors and thinking solution-oriented to fix them
  • Are systematic and detail-oriented

WE OFFER YOU

  • An internship position with a focus on responsibility and development from day one
  • An opportunity to test your theoretical knowledge in practice
  • Good sparring partners and opportunity for feedback
  • An insight into a workplace that works for the world's most vulnerable children
  • A flexible internship arrangement where the number of hours and internship length are set in relation to your study and possibly study job. However, we would like you to be able to work around 30-37 hours per week for a minimum of 12 weeks, but preferably longer
  • We invest in giving you access to data and results for activities for your internship report
