About us

The Taastrup residential care home is seeking pedagogical staff for shift work with long shifts and 24-hour shifts. The Taastrup residential care home is part of Hyldgaard & Larsen Sjælland, and is a smaller residential care facility under the Danish Social Service Act sections 107 and 108 with space for 8 residents.

The residents we help often have complex psychiatric and social issues, and require a persistent and close pedagogical effort to manage daily life in the best possible way.

About the position

As a pedagogical employee you will be an important part of the work to support residents' wellbeing, safety, development and their personal goals. Your tasks include, among others:

• support, assistance and care in daily life - focusing on structure, predictability and a meaningful daily life for the individual
• relationship work, documentation and interdisciplinary sparring
• participation in agreements with external partners, including health services, treatment for substance abuse, the Danish Prison and Probation Service, etc.
• to accommodate and support the residents - also in situations with high frustration levels, where clarity, professional judgment and a regulated nervous system are crucial

We are looking for someone who

• is trained as a pedagogue, social worker, SSA or another relevant educational background
• has relevant experience from social psychiatry and/or the target group
• has a curious, reflective and professionally grounded approach in your work
• burns for interdisciplinary collaboration and professional quality
• has respect and humility in relation to being part of another person's life
• can remain calm and keep an overview in situations where it is required
• sees the value in documenting your professional efforts and observations
• has knowledge of the LA2 method
