DFS seeks a creative communications student

Can you angle sharply and write lively articles about associations, communities and democracy? Then you may be DFS’s new communications student.

Dansk Folkeoplysnings Samråds, DFS’s 39 member organisations have about 1.6 million participants annually at the folk high schools, in amateur theatres, in evening schools, in associations such as Dansk Kvindesamfund, Europabevægelsen and many other places in the folk education schools and associations across the country.

DFS works to strengthen our members through policy, knowledge, partnerships, opinion pieces and the press.

But we want to become even better. Therefore we need you who can write articles for our newsletter, create posts for our social media channels, and take photos for our events.

A bit about your tasks

On a daily basis you will work closely with DFS’s communications consultant and the rest of the secretariat, where you can practice using your knowledge from your studies. Your primary tasks will be to:

• Write articles and create graphic content for DFS’s website, newsletter and social media
• Produce content for LinkedIn
• Do media monitoring on social media
• Contribute to the communications at DFS’s conferences and events

A bit about your competences

• Have experience in angling and writing articles
• Have experience with graphic work in Infogram, Canva or similar programs
• Have the desire – and perhaps experience – to create visibility and engagement on LinkedIn
• Dare to contribute ideas that can move our communications
• Work independently and meet deadlines
• Are currently enrolled in a communications or journalism education.
• … we do not expect you to know everything and you will have ample opportunity to learn new things with us.

A bit about what we can offer

With us you get an exciting and educational student position where we listen to your professionalism and your ideas. You become part of a friendly and professionally strong secretariat of nine employees, where we work closely together and value engagement, ingenuity and humor.

You will work in the heart of Copenhagen in Farvergade, where we sing communal songs with the rest of the house every Monday morning. Working hours are 15 hours per week or as agreed. There will be a possibility to adjust your working hours so you have time to fit your studies, and we provide a contribution to your lunch. The salary is 175.30 DKK per hour.
