Økolariet is looking for a creative communications developer with graphic flair

…in other words, could you come up with a slightly cooler title, create a better graphic, or perhaps have a more inventive idea to start such a job description that should capture your attention? If yes, then you have found the exact job advertisement.

For Økolariet, we are currently looking for a creative communications developer who can surprise us, challenge our habits, and help develop our communication, marketing, and visual universe.

We are looking for you who sees opportunities where others see a blank page, you who have humor, and you who have a bit of wildness in you. Not necessarily the kind that topples furniture, but rather topples conventional thinking – and maybe a little of the furniture too 😊

You will be involved in developing Økolariet's communication, marketing, content, and visual universe. Make our stories come alive, surprise our guests (and perhaps even ourselves) and reach even more people who discover what Økolariet can offer.

What do we expect?

You should be able to both generate ideas and bring them to life. We imagine that you have a strong graphic and visual toolbox, flair for communication, and experience in creating content that captures attention.

You don’t need to be an expert in everything, but you should be able to work independently with graphic design, different media, and digital content – and be eager to tackle new formats and challenges.

At Økolariet, we wear many hats. And sometimes long octopus arms.

You will, among other things, help to

• Develop ideas, campaigns, and new ways to tell our stories.
• Create content for social media, graphics, text, and visual communication. (Meta experience)
• Make Økolariet's exhibitions, activities, and experiences visible to even more people.
• Help develop, plan, and run events and activities – and sometimes also run them yourself.
• Do graphic design, animation, mini-films, and related materials for our exhibitions, holiday activities, flyers, etc. (Adobe package experience at a minimum – NOT only Canva)

And probably a lot of other things we don’t yet know we need, but hope you know!

We’re not looking for the perfect CV

We’re looking for a person with ideas, courage, a drive to create, and a desire to collaborate.

Maybe you’re a graphic designer with a knack for communication. Maybe you’re a communications person with a flair for design. Perhaps you come from marketing, or perhaps you taught yourself everything.

You will be part of a unified Økolariet team that for many years has created our house full of stories. We think aloud, laugh, experiment, and sometimes fail. We have our feet firmly on the ground, but also love to fly high – and we make things succeed – together.

We would rather experience your creativity than read two pages about how creative you are.

Honestly speaking – a classic application can be good and well described with all the right words – but it is also easy to forget in the pile.

Write, draw, film, run a campaign, send us a wacky idea, or surprise us with something completely different.

You decide the form. We just want to see, feel, and experience how you think, who you are, and what you can do. That does not mean you shouldn’t also write a bit about yourself and why it’s you we should hire.

Important dates

Application deadline Wednesday 11/11

First interview will take place on November 20, and second interview on November 24.

Employment terms

Employment is in accordance with the applicable collective agreement.

The expected starting salary for full-time employment, excluding pension, is in the range of DKK 25,700 to 40,400 depending on seniority. It should be noted that final placement, including collective agreement basis and salary level, will be determined based on your education and qualifications and the specific offered position.

The position is 32 hours per week. Employment date is January 1, 2027 with start January 7, 2027.
