About the job

Do you have a professional background as a clinical dietitian, do you thrive with great versatility in your work, and would you like to have a large contact network?

Then perhaps you are the one we are looking for for a new position at Steno Diabetes Center Odense (SDCO) with anchoring in SDCO Research. Steno Diabetes Center Odense is a regional knowledge- and development center within treatment, research, prevention and education in diabetes.

Our research unit is seeking from December 15, 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter a clinical dietitian to plan and carry out lifestyle interventions among people with type 2 diabetes in connection with the ON LiMiT research project.

You will primarily be attached to the ON LiMiT project (Optimal Non-pharmacological Lifestyle Modifications in people with Type 2 diabetes). ON LiMiT is a large national interventional study that investigates the maintenance of remission of type 2 diabetes through weight loss, diet and physical activity. You will join a community where we in the unit work with both collaborative research and SDCO’s own research.

We are a small staff group with different professional backgrounds, which keeps everyday life running through close sparring and collaboration. We use digital tools to register our work, but also to support our diet advice. We work together, but also carry out consultations and other tasks related to concrete research projects independently after training.

Responsibilities

  • Planning and conducting the lifestyle intervention as well as participants' project visits in the ON LiMiT project. You will be involved in the startup phase and collaborate with colleagues internally at SDCO and with staff from the other ON LiMiT sites.

You will primarily be responsible for the implementation of the dietary intervention

  • Guidance to participants in the use of meal replacement (e.g., NUPO) as well as diet with varying amounts of carbohydrates
  • Teaching participants in ON LiMiT and possibly other clinical studies
  • Guidance and communication with participants through digital tools
  • Reporting data in various systems
  • Participant contact in clinical studies with testing of new drugs, dietary restrictions and lifestyle changes as in the ON LiMiT project

In connection with visits to ON LiMiT’s other Danish sites, a smaller number of travel days per year must be expected.

We can offer you

  • Thorough training in all relevant tasks and close collaboration in interdisciplinary groups
  • Work in an organization where we deliver high professional quality and lift as a team
  • Great influence on how your workday is structured
  • An exciting and dynamic workplace with functions that continue to develop

Our expectations of you are that you

  • Have a professional background as a clinical dietitian
  • Have drive and a desire for new challenges
  • Are flexible and can work independently, in teams and interdisciplinary
  • Would preferably have experience with entry in various registration systems
  • Would preferably have professional experience within diabetes and meal replacements

It would also be an advantage if you are used to working project-oriented and have experience with clinical projects.

Salary and employment terms

The position is a full-time role of 37 hours/week, fixed-term for two years with the possibility of extension.

Salary and employment terms for the position follow the applicable collective agreement within the Health sector (Agreement 32.17.1 - including clinical dietitian).
