Dispatcher

BMS’ back-office department in Aarhus is seeking a technically knowledgeable dispatcher with experience from crane or transport industry. The position includes the total operational planning of the department's backing and moving tasks, from order receipt and resource allocation to RAMS and documentation.

You will join a team that daily plans and executes technical lifting and moving tasks, where precision and reliability are crucial.

Responsibilities Your core task is order booking, task planning and personnel deployment in collaboration with the department's other dispatchers. In addition you will

• provide technical customer advice and clarify the scope of the task, weight, access conditions and execution method
• allocate the department's equipment and personnel based on capacity, qualifications and schedule
• assess whether a task requires an advance inspection by the conductor
• obtain the authorities’ permits necessary for the execution of the task
• check machine reports and daily sheets for correct recording of time, equipment and services

Qualifications We are seeking a technically knowledgeable person with experience in operational coordination and administration, preferably from the crane industry or the transport and logistics sector. Relevant background could be logistics economist, freight forwarder or dispatcher. The decisive factor is that you have solid technical understanding of equipment, lifting tasks and execution methods, so you can independently assess task complexity and choose the right solution. At the same time you can structure and prioritise in a dynamic planning environment.

We expect that you

• have technical insight and can understand and assess the technical prerequisites of tasks, e.g. weight, access conditions and equipment selection
• can maintain overview of many parallel tasks and re-prioritise quickly when changes occur
• work in a structured, solution-oriented way with a focus on the customer’s needs
• have strong IT skills and can quickly get up to speed on new planning and administration systems
• contribute positively to the team, also during periods of high workload
• communicate clearly and precisely, both verbally and in writing, in Danish and English

We do not expect you to know everything from the start. If you have the technical understanding and the desire to learn, we will take care of the rest. You will receive comprehensive training in our systems, equipment and workflows, and your colleagues in the department will help you get started.
