We are looking for a qualified teacher with a main subject or equivalent competencies in mathematics for Rude Skov School, Sjælsø department. You will primarily teach mathematics and science and technology in our 4th year. The position is initially full-time, but we are also open to 80% for the right candidate.

We are Leaps schools (Learning and engagement through authentic projects with a focus on science). Therefore we work with real-world teaching where students experience that what they learn has meaning outside the classroom. Through collaboration with Katafonden and local companies we continuously develop our project-based teaching.

You do not need to be an expert in project-based learning in advance. The most important thing is that you are curious and want to develop yourself together with us.

About the school

You will be attached to Sjælsø department, which houses 0.-9. year with two classes in most year levels. Here you will experience a close collegial community and a culture where we help each other and pull together. The school has two departments (Høsterkøb department and Sjælsø department) and the students gather in the upper levels from 6th grade in the Sjælsø department.

At Rude Skov School we work from a shared view of students: Students do the best they can, and if a student does not succeed, it is the adults who can do something differently. All students are welcome, but not all behavior. It obligates us to create strong learning communities where all students feel they belong, but where there are also clear expectations.

In Rudersdal we have a local agreement with a fixed preparation factor of 0.6 and generally good working conditions.

Our annual wellbeing surveys show high wellbeing among both students and staff, and this is something we work purposefully to maintain. Collaboration between management and employees is built on trust. We generally have very little staff turnover, and therefore it is also a unique opportunity to become part of our community.
