About us

Frederiksodde School is Fredericia Municipality's only special education and after-school offering. The school is distributed across 4 sites and currently has about 270 students and 150 staff. We teach students from 0th-10th grade.

Section B is for students with behavioral/psychological challenges, ADHD and socio-emotional difficulties. We currently have 63 students from 0-10th grade. The students are within the normal intelligence range. Our groups consist of 6-12 students, to which there is an attached teacher-pedagogue team.

We are looking for a teacher who

• has major in Danish
• primarily will work in the middle/upper secondary group
• is passionate about working with students with special needs
• is responsible, independent and proactive, and can expand the learning framework at a school where "life competence" is the core task
• is confident in themselves and has a robust personality – physically and mentally
• is clear in communication and able to create predictability and structure
• is creative and passionate about playful learning
• is motivating and resource-oriented (KRAP)
• sees possibilities in using the body and nature as an educational tool
• is used to working in teams and can engage in commitments with both teacher colleagues, pedagogues and teaching assistants.

• are a trained teacher
• have experience with the target group and enjoy working with it
• have an eye for students' resources and can put them into play
• are good at building relationships and can motivate
• can work reflectively and systematically
• can connect theoretical knowledge with your own experiences and can put it into practice for the benefit of students' development, learning and well-being

Salary and employment terms

According to the prevailing agreement between KL and the negotiating organization.

Criminal record

When employed, a criminal record will be obtained. The employment is conditional on the criminal record being free of any notes affecting the performance of the specific position

Child certificate

When employed, which includes work with children and youth, a child certificate will be obtained. The employment is conditional on a child certificate without notes.

In the school area, work is organized flexibly with an average annual teaching time of 750.

This is a permanent full-time position.

Start date January 1, 2027 or as soon as possible.
