About the job

At Tirsbækgård, an integrated day facility located in Bredballe, we are currently looking for an engaged pedagogue for our oldest department. Here you will become part of a department with about 60 children and 10 adults distributed across 4 groups. We moved in January 2026 into newly built premises on the first floor of Tirsbækgård. You will have the opportunity to make your mark on the department in close collaboration with experienced colleagues and the deputy head of department. You may be the right fit if you are a trained pedagogue and work from an appreciative approach to both children and adults. You are authentic, present and empathetic in your approach to children, parents and colleagues. You enjoy outdoor life and a dynamic daily life with the opportunity to put your own mark on it.

Start date December 1, 2026 – if possible, preferably earlier.

About us

Tirsbækgård is an integrated day facility located in Bredballe in the scenic area, Tirsbæk Bakker. The institution was completed in March 2021 and expanded in 2025. We currently have 165 children aged 0-6 years. The children are divided into 3 departments: the youngest children 0- approx. 2.5 years, the middle children 2.5 – approx. 4 years and the oldest children 4 – 6 years. The groups in the different departments run in sequence. Each department has a common room with small play environments.

We have a lovely bright house with views of the forest and a lake. There is an attached community house/party hall for the institution, which we can use together with the children during daytime for motor skills and the like.

The profile of the institution is a focus on nature and sustainability, therefore outdoor life is given high priority. There is also a focused emphasis on the child’s linguistic development.

You will become a pedagogue in a newly built department for our oldest children, where there are about 60 children and 10 adults; the department functions as a well-operating team. The position is newly created as the department has grown.

We involve outdoor life in our pedagogical practice every day and therefore spend a lot of time outside with the oldest children. We cook over a fire every week. We have a weekly excursion day where we go for a walk in the local area which consists of a rich network of trails, ponds, forest, streams and playgrounds.

Employment terms

Employment is according to the collective agreement for pedagogues at day care institutions, after-school programs, clubs etc., §§4-9. The expected starting salary for full-time excluding pension is DKK 32,511 / sits in the range DKK 32,511 to 39,909 depending on seniority. It should be noted that final placement, including the collective agreement framework and salary level, is determined based on your education and qualifications and the specific offered position.
