About the job

Do you want to work in a children's house where there is warmth, high professionalism and meaningful relationships?

In Forfatterhuset we deliberately work with ReMida materials and the child view from Reggio Emilia pedagogy in a close, well-functioning team collaboration.

In Forfatterhuset there are a total of 170 wonderful children aged 0-6 years distributed across four baby groups, four kindergarten groups and two groups combined of older babies and younger kindergarten children (baby-kindergarten).

Around us lie Thit Jensens Vej, Agnes Henningsens Vej, Henrik Pontoppidans Vej and Hans Kirks Vej. Inspired by these surroundings we have chosen to call ourselves Forfatterhuset. Such a name obliges, so we work to create a lovely place with lots of good experiences and stories.

We value relationships, presence and a good working environment

We are a dynamic house with great opportunities for development and influence. If we may say so ourselves, there is a warm and comfortable spirit in the house, which is noticeable in the good atmosphere and energy.

At Forfatterhuset we place a high value on the relationship and presence with the children and master calm and immersion. This means that we work both independently with a group of children and across rooms/teams/departments.

We work purposefully to make Forfatterhuset a house for the children, where we give the children a safe and caring everyday life with a rich learning environment.

ReMida and the Reggio Emilia approach are central pedagogical focus points in our pedagogy. This means that aesthetic experiences and learning processes fill a great deal of our everyday life – we love to offer a playful and creative learning environment.

We have worked purposefully to build a culture and a working community that is welcoming, reflective and pedagogically well-founded.

We are training ourselves to become even sharper in our organization, so that we are distributed throughout the day in the three roles: the flyer, the caregiver and the inquirer.

A modern house in a magical area

Although we are located in the middle of Nørrebro in De Gamles By, our local area is wonderfully green and almost car-free – it almost feels rural and close to nature.

Our house is large and modern with many opportunities. Inside we have both workshop and library. Outside we have playgrounds at many levels, where there is room for motor skills activities and quiet activities in smaller groups.

In ByOasen in De Gamles By we have access to a staffed playground. Here there are, among other things, chickens, rabbits, goat pen, zip line and a troll forest.

And now a little about you

You will be the right colleague for us if you

  • are open to others' perspectives
  • see yourself as a relationship-capable adult/colleague
  • are both structured and independent in your work with a group of children and across rooms/teams/departments – at Forfatterhuset we work closely together, and we regard each other as inspiring collaborators who place high value on professionalism
  • are good at coordinating pedagogical processes, including planning monthly plans and overall themes
  • are proactive, e.g. by initiating exciting activities/projects in a playful approach, where children's initiatives are included, and where you ensure that all children have the opportunity to participate
  • participate in evaluation and professional sparring – at Forfatterhuset we pride ourselves on evaluating and sparring in a considerate and educational manner

A cluster with close and targeted collaboration

Forfatterhuset forms Nørrebro/Bispebjerg Cluster C together with Børnehuset Urtehaven, Kernehuset, Guldsmeden, Hulahophuset and Kastaniehuset.

In the cluster we work closely and purposefully together with, among other things, the recommendations of EPPSE research for high quality and with creating a common evaluation culture and a culture of professional feedback.

Terms of employment

The positions are 35-37 hours per week and are available from December 1, 2026, but we are happy to wait for the right candidate.

In connection with the appointment we will obtain child safety and criminal record checks as well as references.

Salary is in accordance with the applicable collective agreement.

Forfatterhuset is open Monday to Thursday from 07:00-16:45 and Friday from 07:00-16:00.

The positions are in our kindergarten and baby-kindergarten.
