Educator for the kindergarten in Villa Berthe - a villa in Hellerup

Are you passionate about working with children? Are you caring and present? Do you enjoy outdoor play, motor development, play and immersion? Then we are ready to welcome you to Villa Berthe.

The Børnekompasset department at Villa Berthe is seeking a pedagogue for the kindergarten for 30-37 hours.

Villa Berthe is an integrated day care facility in Hellerup located in a two-storey villa with a lovely playground, housing 13 infants, 40 preschoolers, and 12 staff members.

Villa Berthe is a villa with fantastic surroundings, where there is room for play and immersion. At Villa Berthe we want to create the best conditions for the child’s wellbeing, learning, development and formation. We start from the child’s perspective, inclusive communities, and we aim to create a safe stimulating learning environment for all children.

We prepare and evaluate our work by, among other things, working with weekly plans and a dissemination model based on the themes of the curriculum. We prioritise dividing the children into smaller groups to create opportunities for presence, immersion and focus on the individual child. We have a strong focus on motor skills and movement so that the child develops a sense of the body and becomes aware of the body’s possibilities and limitations. We prioritise taking trips in the local area.

We have good collaboration within the staff team and you will have influence on planning and execution of your own practice. You will become part of a dedicated staff group, planning and carrying out many different activities with the children. We are a house with a high level of professionalism, where there is ample opportunity to develop your professional skills through courses and further education.

We expect from you

• You are a trained pedagogue, with strong professionalism and a positive outlook on life
• You cannot help but work inclusively
• You can create inspiring and challenging learning environments
• Experience is not a condition – the most important is your talent, your energy and your interest in the educational field
• You are naturally outgoing and easily comfortable among different people
• You can be curious about your own and others’ practice
• You can work independently with a small group of children, while being able to collaborate as equals in your team, across teams and with management
• That you value close collaboration with parents and colleagues to create a good everyday life and the best conditions for the children

We offer you

• A professionally skilled staff, working with care, well-being and learning for all children
• A culture where relationship work is a cornerstone
• A house with room for reflection and professional development
• A good psycho-social working environment with skilled and engaged colleagues
