About the job

Do you want to make a difference – and do you thrive in a daily life with responsibility, activity and experiences?

We are looking for a pedagogue for Lindved Vestergaard near Hornsyld.

Boller Skov is a socio-pedagogical residential facility with two departments, Boller Skov and Lindved Vestergaard, for children and young people aged 4-21 years.

Our children and young people come with different challenges and can be affected by dissatisfaction, behavioural challenges and development difficulties. They need adults who stand firm, take responsibility and at the same time meet them with care, respect and recognition.

With us, pedagogy is therefore not only about conversations and plans. It is also about being present, doing things together and building relationships through real experiences .

It could be on a walk in the forest, around a campfire, on a bike ride, in the workshop, on a trip or in the middle of an ordinary everyday life where something practical needs to be solved.

Therefore it is a clear advantage if you like to be active, use your body and get out into nature – and if you want to take the children and the young people with you.

We believe in development

We work from a fundamental belief that all children have developmental potential – regardless of their background, diagnoses or the challenges they face.

Many of our children and young people have experienced setbacks and the feeling of being given up on. Therefore an important part of our work is to keep believing in their possibilities – even when development takes time, perseverance and an extra effort.

We are inspired by Growth Mindset , where the focus is on effort, learning and development rather than on the result alone.

The same applies to the children – and to us adults.

We are a , and our ambition is to deliver the best possible support for each child in a vulnerable period of their life.

It requires commitment, professionalism and care. But it also requires adults who can stay calm and clear when things become difficult.

Whom are we looking for?

We are looking for a colleague who wants a job where relationships, responsibility, professionalism, practical tasks and physical activity go hand in hand .

You do not need to be an outdoor adventure expert or an elite athlete. But it is an advantage if you thrive more with an active and varied workday than sitting still all day.

We expect that you

  • are educated as a pedagogue or have another relevant pedagogical background
  • can create strong relationships while also being a clear and stable adult
  • take responsibility and keep calm when situations become demanding
  • focus on professionalism, reflection and documentation
  • can express yourself well in writing
  • have experience with or interest in parent collaboration
  • are keen to involve children and young people in practical, physical and outdoor activities
  • enjoy sport, movement, nature, outdoor life, crafts or other practical activities
  • are open to rotating work hours, including night-, weekend- and holiday work
  • have a driving license.

Your leisure interests can actually be a strength for us. Perhaps you fish, run, cycle, lift weights, play football, go hunting, build things, cook over a campfire or simply enjoy being outdoors. The most important thing is that you want to bring a part of yourself into play and invite the children and the young people along .

What will you get with us?

We offer a workplace where not two days are necessarily alike, and where you get the opportunity to take responsibility and leave your own mark on everyday life.

With us you get

  • skilled and reliable colleagues
  • great freedom with responsibility
  • opportunity to bring your own interests and competencies into play
  • co-responsibility for the place’s development and activities
  • a daily life with both pedagogical, practical and physical activities
  • outings and experiences away from the premises
  • travel in Denmark, Europe and the rest of the world
  • a job where the relationship with the children and the young people is central.

We have high ambitions. We want to be a benchmark in the field and work steadily to be among the strongest offers in the country for our target group.

Practical

The position is at Lindved Vestergaard near Hornsyld and is a full-time position with commencement as soon as possible.

The position requires relevant education and a driving license. You must also present criminal record and child abuse clearance.
