About the job

Would you like a daily life where professionalism develops and where you have the opportunity to develop and use your professional competencies and collaborative skills?

The organization is constantly changing and we look into an exciting future where we develop our services and challenge our professionalisms and competences.

We have taken on new, exciting tasks and are therefore looking for competent colleagues who want to become part of an ambitious and strong professional community, across disciplines.

With us, structure and recognizability are essential to creating safety for the residents. At the same time, everyday life is often unpredictable and requires your professionalism, flexibility and ability to adapt your approach to the individual.

It is an advantage if you have experience with the target group or from working in a residential care home, but it is not a requirement. The most important thing is that you want to bring your professional expertise into play and help create a safe and meaningful everyday life for the residents.

If you can see yourself thriving in a complex task where your professionalism has great value for both residents and colleagues, maybe it’s you we need!

About the offering

The Unit for Special Measures in OVUS consists of the departments Tårnly, Tårnbo, Løvhøj and Kuben. In addition, a new building with two additional departments is planned.

The unit contains an individually protective intervention focusing on creating a daily life with structure, recognizability and continuity.

Together we solve one of the most specialized tasks in the social sector for residents with significant and complex support needs.

All residents have permanently reduced mental functioning, and several have a good language function. In addition, residents may have issues such as personality disorders and character deviations, substance abuse problems as well as outwardly reacting, self-harming or boundary-crossing behavior. Some residents may also have a treatment order or a placement order in a institution.

We offer a combined living and activity offering, where good staffing coverage and an individually tailored pedagogical approach form the basis of our work.

We focus on safety in our work and are currently in a process in collaboration with SIKK, where we sharpen safety and use risk assessments as a concrete tool in everyday life.

Your task

In daily work you will work closely with your colleagues to create a daily life for the residents that is both safe and developing. We work from a belief that people develop best through positive and affirming relationships.

We start from each resident’s functional level and have a particular focus on their sensorimotor challenges which we aim to support based on relevant professional approaches.

We are looking for you who

  • Is a trained educational professional and is willing to develop your professional competences through interdisciplinary collaboration
  • Has or is keen to gain knowledge of our shared professional foundation with focus on, among other things, LA2U
  • Works in a structured way and sees value in creating clear conditions for the individual resident
  • Is affirming and resource-oriented
  • Can help residents have relevant activities in daily life and create the possibility for motivation here
  • Insists on creating positive relationships, even when it is difficult and takes time
  • Focuses on collaboration and relational coordination across disciplines
  • Has written competencies, as we work with professional documentation
  • Is open to sparring and active participation in supervision

We offer you

  • A thorough introduction and mentorship program
  • Ongoing professional development with courses and continuing education
  • A strong professional community where we support each other
  • A working environment where everyone takes responsibility
  • Colleagues who have humor, show care and take time for each other
  • A dynamic work environment with fixed team and staff meetings where we reflect on and develop our work together
  • Flexibility in working hours, with the option to plan long weekends and workdays as desired

A practical tip: It is an advantage if you have a car, as we are located in a scenic area on the edge of Mariager.

Working hours and terms of employment

The position is 37 hours per week with full-time and rotating working hours, including day, evening and weekend shifts.

There is flexibility and planning of the working hours. You can also choose to work every other or every third weekend according to your wish.

Salary and collective agreement

Salary and employment terms according to the applicable collective agreement for social pedagogical staff at 24-hour institutions, etc., entered into with the Social Educators

Application deadline: November 25, 2026

Start date: As soon as possible after agreement
