About the job

Are you eager to put your skills into play within secretarial support? Then maybe you are the one we’re looking for.

About the role We are looking for a new colleague for our work with directorate support in the Employee and Competence Agency. You will play a central role in coordinating and qualifying cases that need to go to the executive or other partners. It could be decision proposals, contributions to ministerial and parliamentary support, consultation cases, notes, talking points or other tasks where input from several disciplines must be gathered and a clear and usable product delivered.

But the role is about more than classic directorate support. We need a colleague who wants to help make the entire agency function well. You should have an eye for where there is a need for coordination, structure or an extra hand, and you should be keen to take on both large and small tasks that together make the everyday work function.

It can be long-term planning of our emergency responses, implementation of our strategy or development of our working processes. But it can also be planning a summer party, coordinating a joint event or a practical task that suddenly needs to be solved. For us, it is not the size of the task that is decisive. It is the willingness to contribute to the common effort and make things succeed.

An important part of the job is also to be clear in your communication. You should be able to set direction for a process, follow up on agreements and deadlines and at the same time do it in a way that fosters good collaboration. You should be the one colleagues and leaders experience as both professional, constructive and helpful.

You will have a broad contact surface and will cooperate with both the executive, managers, professional specialists and colleagues across the Employee and Competence Agency. Therefore it is important that you are good at building relationships, following up and getting different professional areas to work together.

About you We imagine that you have a relevant higher education, e.g. within social sciences, law or public administration. The decisive thing is that you can create overview in complex tasks, take responsibility for a process and ensure that it is brought to a good end.

You have understanding of working in a politically governed organization. You may have gained this in an agency, a ministry, a municipality or another relevant organization. If you also have experience with directorate or management support, case coordination, project management or development of workflows, it is an advantage – but we do not expect you to have worked with all areas.

To succeed in the position it is important that you

  • work structured and can keep overview when several tasks and deadlines require your attention
  • can gather input from different professional areas and convey them clearly and precisely both in writing and orally
  • are good at coordinating and following up on agreements in a clear and constructive manner.

As a colleague you are curious, approachable and good at cooperating with people with different professional backgrounds and roles. You gladly lend a hand when needed – whether it concerns a larger matter for the executive or a practical task that makes everyday life function.

About the Directorate Secretariat and the Employee and Competence Agency In the Directorate Secretariat you will come close to the agency's decisions and have a daily life with both fixed tasks and new challenges. Together with four colleagues and a team leader you help the executive in daily life, create coherence across the agency and help develop our ways of working. We have different professional backgrounds and use them actively in collaboration.

There is room here for both professional deepening, sparring and a good laugh. When you start, you will receive an onboarding process so you get to know colleagues, the executive and your tasks at a good pace.

You will also become part of the Employee and Competence Agency, where about 90 colleagues work to support state workplaces as employers. We share knowledge, help each other across and are curious about new solutions. With us there should be room to develop professionally and to get along well – both in everyday life and at our professional and social events. We are located close to Kongens Nytorv, and you can arrange to work from home with your manager when tasks permit.

Employment terms You are employed under the collective agreement for academicians in the state and will be placed as an adviser or consultant based on your qualifications.

It is a condition of employment that you can be security cleared at the appropriate level and subsequently maintain the security clearance throughout your employment period.

The area of employment is the Ministry of Finance with associated institutions, currently the Ministry of Finance’s department, State Administration, State IT, the Economic Agency and the Employee and Competence Agency.

Your workplace will be Landgreven 4, 1301 Copenhagen K, and the expected average weekly working time is 37 hours per week.

More information If you have questions about the position, you are welcome to contact team leader Carsten Müller Forman at tel. 35 27 11 64 or [email protected] .

Application We look forward to receiving your application with CV, transcripts and any attachments via the “Apply for the position” button no later than November 10, 2026.

The Ministry of Finance views diversity as a strength and encourages all interested candidates regardless of personal background to apply. We look forward to reading your application.
