About the job

Aalborg Municipality invests in early intervention for families with children

  • Are you engaged, professionally skilled, and do you thrive working across disciplines?
  • Do you dream of being part of a multidisciplinary team where the advice is provided close to the family's everyday life at home, in day care, or at school?

You now have the opportunity to become part of a new multidisciplinary team, focusing on early and preventive interventions for families with children aged 0-12 years.

As part of strengthening general and early preventive efforts, Aalborg Municipality will establish a multidisciplinary team with four permanent full-time positions as of January 1, 2027.

Specifically, we are seeking a psychologist, a social worker, a pedagogue, and a health visitor for the team.

If you apply for the position, you will have a unique opportunity to influence the team’s work and structure – all of it with support and sparring from competent colleagues in a multidisciplinary framework.

About the position

The multidisciplinary team is anchored together with Familiens Hus (House of Family) in the Early Intervention Department, which is part of the Center for Early Intervention and Family Care.

Familiens Hus, which has been a funded pilot project in the period 2023-2026, has, with the budget agreement for 2027, been anchored as a permanent offering in the early preventive intervention range. In the 2027 budget agreement it was decided to supplement with a multidisciplinary team, where the guidance is more locally based.

The team will, for a two-year period, work in a geographically defined area - the part of Aalborg Municipality located north of the Limfjord.

Team's primary tasks

  • Advice and guidance to parents, day care providers, and schools
  • Outreach work and offer counseling and support close to the family's daily life – e.g., in the home, day care, or school
  • A coordinating lead function in relation to cross-disciplinary collaboration within a family
  • Work preventively in close multidisciplinary cooperation with the child/family at the center
  • Bridge-building regarding the appropriate intervention and level as well as cooperation with civil society organizations and other relevant actors

The team’s multidisciplinary collaboration always takes its starting point in the family's needs and how the family is helped and supported with the right intervention at the right level. The family's concrete needs and problems are decisive for which professionals from the team are involved in the task. The team’s role in the family is temporary, and therefore we focus on supporting and strengthening families toward self-reliance.

The work requires that you are strong in your own professional discipline, while being professionally curious and having strong relational skills. The work also requires close collaboration between family, day care, and school, as well as the professionals around the child.

Therefore we are looking for employees who

  • Have a relevant education and are professionally well-founded
  • Have knowledge of and experience with work within the child and family area
  • Are prepared to perform an outreach function and primarily work in families' homes and/or in day care and schools
  • Can assess the family's needs in a holistic way, and in collaboration with the family and relevant professionals
  • See the value of close multidisciplinary collaboration and can translate it into practice
  • Thrive in team-based work, and at the same time can plan and solve tasks independently
  • Wish to actively and positively contribute to promoting the everyday life of child families through prevention, support, and care
  • Are open and curious to try new solutions and collaborate
  • Can work outreach-focused, and orient toward relevant offerings and opportunities, with a basis in the family's needs

We can offer

  • A workplace where you from the start have the opportunity to shape the work
  • A multidisciplinary working community with close connection to Familiens Hus
  • A workplace where we value teamwork and social capital highly
  • Present leadership

Workplace address: Vejgaard Bymidte 12, 9000 Aalborg.
